Do they all work? I have about as many , but more G3's in comparison. The portables are fun once recapped and working. Just dont use a powerbook adapter to run the portable or youll burn up the motherboard charging area.

Most of mine work as normal except a couple of screens in the 1XX series need recapped and I have not done that yet.

I am quite envious of everyone's collection here, it is extremely rare finding something a bit older here in Australia without paying a fortune for it. I really want to start collecting more of the Vintage technology but having tough time breaking through the door!

I suggest you take a trip to France, and enjoy the wine too - as both are in abundance here.

Come to Australia if you want a sausage roll, only for $2.00. France is on my list of things to visit! :)

EDIT:
Probably not the best place to ask, but I am being offered about 5 iPod Colour posters from the 2007+ campaign, these ones had the multicolour gradient in the background, on top of that I'm getting about 5 product posters, macs, iPods etc for a total of $300. I basically want to know if this is a pretty good deal or not? I'm personally trying to get my hands on the original 2003 iPod Colours but I don't think I'll ever get that opportunity. Thanks!

Please for the love of God tell me they were all broken before you did that? They looks really nice, but I'd hate to see good Macs get destroyed

Well, I can't say they were all broken, although surely some of them were. I bought them with no regard to working condition and I put a hard limit of $25 each including shipping when I was buying them. In all I had over 100. There probably isn't anyone anywhere that has cracked more original Mac cases than me.

I've had a lot of Apple products over the last few years (short lived Apple life but loving every second and wish I would have started earlier.) I'm trying to build up the whole collection of iPhones and slowly getting there.

Things I currently have

Early 2015 rMBP 13"
iPad Air 2 128GB
iPad Air 2 16GB
iPhone 2G 8GB
iPhone 3GS 16GB
iPhone 4 16GB
iPhone 5S 16GB
iPhone SE 64 GB

Things I no longer have but wish I still had

iMac 21.5 Mid 2010
Late 2013 rMBP 13"
Late 2013 rMBP 13"
2012 MBP (fully maxed) 15"
Mid 2009 MBP 13"
Mid 2009 MBP 13"
iPhone 4 16GB
iPhone 4S 32GB
iPhone 5 32GB
iPhone 5 64GB
iPhone 5C 16GB
iPhone 5S 32GB
iPhone 6 64GB
iPhone 6 64GB
iPhone 6+ 64GB
iPhone 6+ 128GB
iPhone 6S 64GB
iPhone 6S+ 64GB
iPod Touch 4G 8GB
iPad Air 64GB
iPad 4 32GB
iPad 3 32GB
iPad 2 16GB
iPad Mini 3 32GB
iPad Mini 2 32GB
iPad Mini 16GB

Some of these have been my son's or my fiance's but truth be told I've paid for every one of them lol. I'll try to get a pic of the current have's altogether but it's nothing special compared to most here.

It's probably not the best place to ask, but I bought a iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation in Limited Edition Gold (Avon Special). It was advertised as Sealed/Unopened, but I've noticed the iPod is in the box upside down? I can't imagine this being a flaw with Apple, have I been scammed?

With that label I wouldn't even have touched it if they said it was unopened. I would see if you could get a refund.

Can you please enlarge on the comment,"Just dont use a powerbook adapter to run the portable or youll burn up the motherboard charging area." As these are all Powerbooks, do you mean don't use a modern powerbook adapter? As I've only recently started to collect these (all functioning) any other significant related comments are welcome.

must use portable adapter with good battery to run portable, using any powerbook charger will harm the motherboard in the macintosh portable as it is not a powerbook.

Oh, I haven't touched it. I've left it exactly in the condition I received it. I'm going to open a PayPal dispute I think!

Neat. I love threads like this.

iMac G3 Indigo
iBook G3 Graphite Firewire
eMac G4 Snow
PowerMac G4 MDD
2x 17" iMac G5s
Mac Pro 1,1, heavily upgraded
Mid 2010 MacBook 13"
Mid 2012 MacBook Pro 13"

Hope to add an iMac G4 to the collection soon.

You didn't gut 128ks, did you? Very good work, but the original Macintoshes are becoming major collector's items.

When I went to France, I noticed that basically everyone there uses Macs. It blew my mind that the tower Mac Pro was banned from being sold new in the EU, given that, in some places (such as France), it's not a law to have railings on a home staircase!

Found this on eBay this week so I decided to grab my second “Kanga” for my collection today. These PowerBooks are rare these days and very hard to source so having an extra working G3 book is icing on the cake so to speak
