Hey everyone, I don't have my iPad yet obviously. But I wanted to create the thread for tomorrow for everyone who has a 4G new iPad to post your speedtest results. If you don't have it, it's free in the app store. Was just curious to see what the service is like for different areas. So if you want to, please post which new iPad you have and also post city or area location if you'd like just to get a better idea. Mention whether its AT&T/Verizon, upload the screen shot and lets see the speeds! :D

I'm ready for 8am to be here!

bump, please post your LTE speed test results from AT&T and Verizon.

I'm in a dilemma because I live in Texas where AT&T have pretty good coverage, but then I heard Verizon LTE is more stable and faster.

All my iPhones I've owned are with AT&T, but now LTE is a different beast and I'd like to be sure which to get.

I know that AT&T LTE is new and have not stand the test of time like the Verzion's LTE. AT&T may currently be faster due to lesser load on their antennas due to less users as well. But, it'll still be good to compare them. And Verizon's free tethering will be EXTREMELY useful.;)

Simple question, if your cellular signal is getting LTE, does it say it in the cornnor where the bars are? Mine just says Verizon..

Turn WiFi off and you should see whether you are on LTE or 3G.

I'm on AT&T LTE in Holly Springs, NC (outskirts of Raleigh) and get 8Mbps down and 4Mbps up. But that is with one bar. Hoping it gets better when I'm out and about. But still better than a poke in the eye.

If you have Wi-Fi turned off and you're in an LTE area than it should show Verizon LTE.

Murfreesboro, tn area Verizon: 86 ms 10 down and 4 up. This is on between 2 and 3 bars of service.

Thanks so much for that bit of info. Never would have found it on my own. Another question tho, it's showing me now "3G", but I also haven't activated a Verizon account. Do I need to before it connects to LTE? I'd really like to know if LTE is in my area before I open an account. I still might exchange mine for an AT&T model. Thanks.
