I successfully stayed away from every store for the whole day, until Hercules started to eat my Shady  so I had to go to petco and pick him up some cat food.

Well I didn't want either of the items, I just saw them hoarding them. At the same time, the units weren't there very long. The employees had friends and family in the line, even before me ready to buy them. So I guess they just beat the system, I just don't like it ... I was buying things for my dad otherwise I would have gone home and back to my warm bed.

That's stupid!

That is one nice thing about the Apple store from what I understand. You can buy so many items for your family a year, you get one big discount item per year for yourself, and you get a normal discount for yourself year round. With policies like that, you don't feel the need to horde products for friends / family. The other nice thing about their policy is, customers come first, so if the customer want's something you are trying to reserve, they will get it before you!

Thanks for the FYI on staples though, I will add that company to my list of places not to shop at, during the holidays!

I slept in until 7am. My father went out to get a few DVD's. That's the most shopping that we ever do after Turkey Day. Any other electronics that I would like to have just get put in the back of my mind as 'things I don't really need'.

My father, 3yr old nephew and I went to Portland Art Museum to see an Ancient Egyptian exhibition. Unfortunately, they only had 3pm tickets available unless we were members then we still could buy tickets (this all happened at 10am). So, we just saw the permeant collection. We still had fun.

Xbox 360 baby

Went to buy a digital camera today, but target did not have the one I wanted. I asked for a rain check so the lady decided to give me the rain check book. So I checked what else was on sale.

Suddenly Xbox 360 - $129? What surely this isn't right. I ask her, hey If I buy the Xbox 360 premium pack will I get it for 129? Yes she explains.

So I go and buy it and sure enough I got an xbox 360 premium for $129!!!!
I think it was a typo on the paper, but I got it and I didn't hassle the lady or anything. I feel bad now.. I hope she doesn't get in trouble cause if she did I would never ever buy it...

I was out the door at 5:30 to go to the Towson Apple store for a laptop. Ended up changing a flat tire (screw sticking out of the tread  )

An hour later, I headed to the store. The mall was surprisingly calm, and there were 2 people ahead of me at the Apple store. Got my MacBook and headed back out. Then went to Bob Evans for breakfast, then to Sam's Club for 4 new tires.

The MB is now sitting next to my 24" iMac leeching software from it :D

I bought a 55'' Hitachi plasma (retail $3,600) with 2 sets of 8'' Monster Ultra 800 hdmi cables (retail $300) Logitech 880 Universal remote, (retail $350) 4 year service/warranty plan (retail $350), installation (through brick fireplace) (normally $500), wall mount (retail $400), Samsung HD DVD player (retail $110) all for $4,158. :D

My girlfriend's ring broke about 4, and to avoid seeing tears flow I hopped in my car and went to the mall and bought her a similar ring.. walked in through JC Penny's fought my way out to the mall through crowds and crowds. I managed to make it to the jewelry store and buy the ring and left. Still took me about a half hour because of lines, though.

where did you manage to get all of those goodies at?:)

At Target, I got my mom a Barry Manilow CD that I thought was $10 but turned out to be FULL PRICE   (barry manilow is a musical genius and I plan on borrowing the CD from her :p)

BUT I got a really nice shoe horn and tunnel from IKEA. Rock!
Hooray for black friday!

I did all my Black Friday shopping online. This is the first time I've participated in such sales.

Purchased a 24-inch iMac at 12:10am PST, just minutes after Apple's sale commenced.

Also got a flash drive and 50-disc DVD+R spindle from Office Max.

Later in the day, I was considering a 2GB Compact Flash card from Staples, but in the few minutes I was debating to order it or not, it sold out... DOH!

I waited until the end of the day to go to Best Buy and the lines were almost gone. No deals but it was nice to get in and out quick.

I laughed when I saw a Best Buy Zune fan telling people in line for the iPods to get a Zune. He said Zune does everything that iPod does. People are just getting the iPod because it is popular. He said something about it being a BMW of mp3 players but you can get the same thing from Zune or something like that. He also said iPods break down all the time. The novice people looked at him and smiled and said nothing. The look in his face tells me he hates Apple.

I scored:
Olevia 32" HDTV LCD
Polar Express
Ice Age The Meltdown

I may go to gamecrazy tommorrow to buy the "GTA VCS and MC3 Dub Edition" for $30 bucks but I read on CAG that it's supposed to be GTA LCS so I'll see what they say tommorrow. It's funny how my day went though.I went to BB at around 2:30 a.m. and the line was around the store!I decided to go to Circuit City and wait line there and there were like 1/4 of what BB had so I had more of a chance and so I stayed there.I talked a bit with the people there and it just happened, the line moved! That was very quick!Fastest 2 hours in my life!So I got the last HDTV voucher and I got the DVD's and looked around. That was like 15 minutes and the line to get out was like halfway inside the store!I made line and waited there for like 2-3 hours....I think I made more line inside than outside.....good day though! That was my first BF shopping experience and I got lucky!

i was hoping to buy 2 ipods for friends, sadly apple @ bestbuy or compusa have absolutly no any discount.
probably just pick some iriver stuff later online

I picked up some $10 bluetooth headsets at radio shack, and one of those $20 hard drives at staples, as well as a $20 wireless router. Didn't buy anything at best buy because they only had about 10 of anything good, which was pointless. The line had started forming at 6pm the night before, which I think is insanity.

I also ordered a pair of shure headphones and the Nike+ kit from the apple store online.

That's really about it. Oh, I got a 2gb ultra II SD card for $40 at staples too, which was a good deal since they're usually about $110. That's probably going to my dad for his digital camera.

Thats absolutely crazy. You are one lucky fella, Christmas definitely came early for you.

I meticulously planned my Black Friday raid at work last night. Nobody really shops at Radio Shack anymore, but I was surprised to see about 12 people there when I arrived at 7 AM.

Picked up a two AA and AAA battery recharger for my constantly dying bluetooth mighty mouse, as well as a $10 after rebates bluetooth headset for my RAZR.

i spent a boatload of cash today, thankfully somebody elses. hope aruba customs dont ready these boards as I have a bunch of toys for people over there... I posted a heap of stuff to my house so I have a easy trip when I head home.

My bonuses are a .mac subscription for $68, and $5 off a Nike+ kit.

The regular Apple things aren't that big a deal unless you are looking at replacing kit at that particular time. The shuffle at $79 was a bit of as washout as I would've bought a couple for the nieces if they were a bit cheaper...

The $20 off photoshop elements was tempting but not that tempting.

I took advantage of the no interest fee on Apple purchases $999 and up at Comp USA last night and picked up at 23 inch ACD.

This afternoon I was able to hit the Best Buy and buy the last few items on my list... Anger management, Mr. Deeds and Poison cd ( for my sister) for under $20 and in less than 10 minutes.

I like to think of my day as a success.

Wow, that is pretty amazing. I would feel bad too if she got in trouble.

All I got today was a pair of Gap Jeans 30% off. I didn't even go to the store, my wife got them for me :). I stayed home and did homework all day.

Compusa, Maxtor hard drive, $200 for 500GB. As for camping over night, no need, got the PS3 and Wii already. What else is there to camp out if I got those two? BTW I do have a 1080i tv already.

I saw on the news last night at 10:00 our best buy already had a line wrapping around the side of the store, so I went to Staples.

Ended up getting 19" Widescreen Samsung LCD for $130 and a 200gb hd for $20

Now I just need a DVI adapter for my macbook. Does anyone know how I can get a cheap one or if there is some generic brand? Or will I be foced into getting the apple one......

I went into a Cingular store just to look around. I had just signed up 5 months ago and gotten a free RAZR. Anyway, a salesman working there bent over backwards to get my a blackjack. He gave me the upgrade price of $200 ($300+$100 mail in rebate) instead of the non-upgrade price of $449, then, when I explained I would have to come back in two hours after going home to get more cash or the next day he asked how much I had on me ($200) and said he would give it to me for $200 cash AND he would give the rebate as well. So blackjack for $100. The only catch was that I had to sign up for the $20 a month data plan which I can cancel in 6 months if I want to.

Review coming soon.
