I've not eaten meat in two years i.e. not forever but only the hot dog doesn't make me gag and it should..

I need to stay off these threads both here and on OCN

dessert...

My first food photo and first attempt at making raw almond creme (success!)

I am getting back into strawberries. My family jokes that I am a bit heavy handed with the spices. Yeah, I can see what they mean by the two cinnamon sticks covering the almond creme.

I doubt this batch of creme will last past Tuesday. It was wonderful.

First attempt at a from scratch slow simmer spaghetti sauce with beef/pork/veal homemade meatballs and from scratch noodles. Very successful.

That looks great, would you mind posting the recipe?

Hi there,

here's a recipe. It's very, very flexible. Sweeten to taste and use whatever fruit you like:

1 1/2 cups of raw almonds soaked 8 hours - overnight
Water
Sweetener (I like my food less sweet, so please adjust to your taste.) > whatever sweetner you like.
Desired sliced Fruit > portion as you like. (I have no idea how many strawberries were in that bowl.)
Cinnamon (optional)

Soak the almonds for at least 8 hours (overnight if possible)

Then drain the almonds.

Place the almonds in your blender (or Vita-Mix)

Add water about a quarter of the way up your blender (or Vita-Mix) > what was used used here) and sweeten with your desired sweetner.

Pulse the almonds until a thick creme forms.

Pour over your desired sliced fruit and top whatever spice you like.

For creme I use less water, for milk, more.

:)

Awesome! Thank you, I'm going to try it this weekend and post back some pics :)

Made Italian dinner last night. Pictures aren't great since it was so dark, but the food was!

Burrata with homemade pesto and roasted tomatoes.
