Didn't know KFC served broccoli.

Good for you! :p
Thats homemade, bro! I don't eat KFC anymore.

POPEYES is where its at. ;)

I say we all pitch in and start a fund to pay for Krafty's inevitable triple bypass.:p
My dad's entire side of the family has had bypass surgery, and he suffered a heart attack while snowplowing the drive way.

Guess who's next in line.

Had some pizza. Didn't get a pic though. Mmmmm.

Had some Noodles and Company last night. Pretty good. Macoroni and Cheese, 2 chabatta (not sure if that's spelled right) rolls, and part of a huge Snickerdoodle. Mmmmm. :)

Really?

Had a PB&J for lunch. Mmmmmm.

I don't know French (what Google Translate says it is). Just FYI.

I had some Penn Station yesterday. Yumm.

Had a Penn Station Sub a few days ago... Mmmm...

Yum. Bread. :)

Lunch at Bennigans: The Irish Dip

Lunch at Bennigans: The Irish Dip

Honestly, I'm surprised any of the Bennigan's locations are still open at this point.

I was once a big fan of Bennigan's, making sure I went at least once every time I returned to Florida. My family and I visited an Orlando-area Bennigan's (Kissimmee, to be exact) a few months the parent company went bankrupt, and it was still OK, although I could tell the restaurant had done some cost-saving measures.

Fast forward a couple of years. We went to the one on Apopka Vineland near Disney. It was a bit run down, and looked like the outer windows hadn't been washed in weeks. But we were hungry, so we went in anyway. Although the place had few customers, it took nearly ten minutes after we were shown to our table for anyone to notice that we hadn't even been brought water or utensils yet. Finally, our server came by with some water. Realizing that we might just have a bad server, we go ahead and order our appetizer so that we'll have something while we wait, something simple and quick: fried mushrooms. Now here's the kicker: She pardoned herself to the kitchen because she didn't know if they still had mushrooms.

Mushrooms?!?

If they were doing so bad that they can't afford freakin' mushrooms, then there was no guessing what would happen next. We got up and left. (We ended up going to Landry's Seafood House about a block away; it's decent for a chain restaurant, and a refreshing change of pace from Red Lobster.)

You do realize that restaurants run out of supplies all the time, don't you?

Yes, but unfortunately that was the proverbial back-breaking straw for that evening. Had we been attended to quickly in the beginning and given water and utensils right away, we could have forgiven the absence of mushrooms. There were only two or three occupied tables in the whole place, and it was 7:45 on a Friday evening, yet we didn't have water until ten minutes later.

Of course, that last sentence contains evidence that we probably shouldn't have overlooked. Any restaurant located near Disney that's THAT dead on a Friday evening must be doing something seriously wrong.

EDIT: I just went to the Bennigan's web site and found no open Bennigan's in the Orlando area; only Miami and Tampa had any still operating. Then again, there may still be an independent franchisee open in Orlando. I'll keep looking...

EDIT #2: The particularly bad Bennigan's in question has indeed closed; its address now comes up as Santa Fe Cattle Company, a steakhouse.

It's not the end of the world, lol, and they could have said it in a more eloquent way.

Alas, this thread is primarily meant to share photos that *you've* taken of the food you eat.

Cheers.
