Interesting collection. Not usual that people have both a Cannon and Nikon camera. I had a look at your Flickr and I really like your car stuff. Some great shots in there.

The reason I have both Canon and Nikon stuff is interesting. I started with Canon back in February (I have a post from them with the start of my gear). I've been a Canon lover since then, and thought that Nikon would only be my last resort, as Canon has great cameras like the 5D Mk. 3, 6D, 70D, 1D X, etc. Plus, most everyone I know shoots Canon. So, I had sources of people to borrow equipment from, try equipment, and talk to about equipment with. Well, one of those Canon users recently switched from Nikon. Her D7000 was sitting and gathering dust. She let me borrow it for what was gonna be three weeks. I fell in love with it within days, and asked her if she would sell it to me and let me do monthly payments. She said yes. So, I am buying her D7000 and the 50mm and 70-200mm for $1100 in monthly payments. I'm thinking about getting rid of the Canon, either trade it for a more consumer model Nikon DSLR, or for a decent wide angle Nikon lens. Might trade it and my aging MacBook for a better laptop, either going back to PC or getting another MacBook that can handle the 16MP RAW files better in CS6 Camera Raw. And thanks, automotive photography is my main focus, I'm starting to get into portraits. I do a little bit of everything, though.

Nothing wrong with doing a bit of everything. Keeps it interesting. For wide angle I have the Nikon 14-24mm 2.8 and it's an awesome bit of glass. I also have the 10.5 Fish eye which is nice (but not an everyday lens IMO).

I'm thinking about just getting a used 18-55mm with VR for my wide angle stuff to use until I can afford something faster. I'd love to get a fisheye, too.

I managed to repair my old S2Pro... it had been sitting on a shelf doing nothing for about 18 months. I'd left the AAs in and they'd gone to mush, ruining the battery compartment.

i haven't used it regularly for nearly 8 years.

I managed to score a battery tray off the ebay and Hey Presto!

I'm using it sans lithiums.

Shooting RAW on my 256 microdrive I get seven shots!

It's a quirky beast and no mistake.

I love it, paired with my favourite lens - 28mm 3.5 Nikkor.

Been traveling for the last two weeks and found that this combo fits the majority of my needs! The added grip has been a perfect addition!

I use the Sony A58 DSLT, which is an incredible camera! I used to have the Nikon D5100, and I prefer the A58 for many reasons including IQ and the electronic viewfinder! My kit includes:

Yes it works :) I don't want to hide that is a Nikon camera, I want to hide all, the model, the lens ecc... and every "trained eyes" ask me which model is, and not "trained eyes" ask me which camera brand is it.

I don't do that for afraid of thieves but just because I don't want to be recognized :) also on the Leica I have the black logo, red is too much visible :)
