Guess ya didnt read the main text of the post :p

I always shoot at the lowest ISO possible until it becomes unreasonable. I like to take advantage of whatever daylight I get and get nice, noise-free images until it's no longer an option. That's when I bump the ISO on up, and get the noisy crops. If I had a longer focal length lens than 200mm for sports it wouldnt be such an issue at higher ISOs as I wouldnt have to crop nearly as much. I also wish I had gone with at least the 40D as it apparently handles higher ISOs better than the Rebels. I'd love for some relatively noise-free ISO800+ shots at night, it's just not feasible with the Rebels.

I did and didn't, I normally shoot ISO 100-200 but when in twilight or nearing darkness I always bump up the ISO. With my D200 I would try not to go over ISO 1000. With my D300 I have no problem going up to ISO 2500-3200, after that it looks like garbage. Best way to know how high you can go is get an 8x10 or however large a print you would want and see what the highest ISO you are comfortable with I mostly sell 8x10s and lower and 3200 works pretty well as long as its exposed properly.

Japanese Nikon COOLPIX S50c

I use to have a Canon REBEL, but i sold it. ^_~

Anyway, my current camera was bought in Japan. It's a Nikon COOLPIX S50c, with a built-in wifi card. I realize its not as high end as others on this thread, but i thought it was neat with the spinwheel picture view, the wifi card, and the motion-stabilizer lens.

Edit: One good use for the wifi card is uploading my pictures to picasaweb, or my own website while on the go. Awesome in my eyes. ^^

(sorry for the poor pics, i used my camera phone to take them and its not the greatest)

I am saving up for a 40D... One day..... I am hopping to order it with my future Mac Pro.

This is my setup. It is pretty damn sweet and pics are amazing. I took a few videos of it and is breath taking quality for a picture camera. This is just about everything but a case and 8 GB SD Card.

I know, I know, there just boxes.

Here's my crap, which I'll come back and add the images to. I meant to snap shots of all my gear and add it to my Flickr page, but it's the dead middle of the season and I've been swamped.

Canon 1Ds MkII
Canon 5D
Canon Rebel XT
85 f/1.2L
50 f/1.2L
35 f/1.4L
70-200 f/2.8L IS
580EX (3)

Here's my first shot that was supposed to kick the whole thing off. A shot of my 85 f/1.2L:

The G9 is a stunning camera. It would be my first and only choice for a high-end P&S.

I would agree with that statement except for the fact that it is kind of chunky for a P&S. I would want something more for quick pics than artistic photography. For the cost of a G9 you could get an entry level DSLR (nikon D40, or D50) and kit lens which would be a better combination if size isn't your concern.

But for those that have DSLRs and a lot of lenses, or attachments, and dont want to keep it on their person 100% of the time, there'd be no better choice than the G9, IMO, to compensate. I'm not sure cost is really that much of a concern when in regards to a complimentary camera to a DSLR owner (who spend thousands on lenses).

I'd love to keep a G9 in my glove box or anywhere in my car for those shocking things that happen when I don't have my camera gear.

Could a cheaper, smaller P&S do? Sure, but the G9 is so damn cool.

Before I had entered the DSLR arena, I had a Sony DSC-V3 which, for it's time, was kind of the equivalent of a G7. It was a great camera, and very bulky for a P&S, but that's how the high-end P&S's are. And the G9 is small and sleek compared to my DSC-V3 was, with all of it's bulges and curves

Now I'm not even close to being a Nikon guy (while I do appreciate their advances in the recent releases), that picture got me excited.

Great snaps of your beautiful kitty on your flickr, too :)

I hope to have a 1D some day

If it is, then it has the wrong lens hood on it. it looks like a 100-400 L

It is indeed a 100-400L a really nice lens, but needs good light. The 135L is the best of the bunch, however. It's never disappointed me.

See if I can remember everything off hand, I don't have everything with me at the moment:

Canon 10D with Battery Grip
Canon Rebel T2
Canon 50mm f/1.4
Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6
UV and Polarizing Filters

Canon A1
Canon AE-1P
Canon FD 50mm f/1.4
Canon FD 28mm f/2.8
Canon FD 200m f/4
(one of these FD lenses is probably a different manufacturer, but I can't remember what or which)

Holga 120GCFN

Mamiya RB-67 Pro-S
Mamiya-Sekor 90mm f/3.8
120 6x9 Back

I think that's it. I have a couple antique cameras that are pretty much useless, but can't remember the names for some reason. Looking to get rid of the 10D and grip if anyone's interested?

Had to take it with the iPhone because I don't have 3 cameras! (nik sharpener actually does a nice job with iphone files for web though)

Canon 40d with 70-200 f/2.8 IS (school soccer camera) and Nikon D300 with 35-70mm f/2.8 (everything camera)

Left out/forgotten: Sigma super 500 flash, missing bank account balance.
