Mine cleared customs in Indianapolis earlier this AM and departed soon after. I don't know where it departed to though, Memphis, the main FedEx sort center, or Dulles, my local sort center. Either way tracking has not updated which means my poor baby is sitting in storage until late Sunday/early Monday. I know how FedEx works so well I could teach some of their CSRs. HA!

My "estimated" delivery date is 10:30 Tuesday, but I think I have a better than good chance of seeing it Monday, thought not at 10:30. Probably 2ish.

I am so mad! My delivery date got pushed back. The dumb machine didn't even leave China until the 18th when it supposedly was ready on the 16th. That is 2 days of just sitting around. This is the worst service ever. I mean, I ordered the damn machine the SAME day it was announced. I was expecting a Monday delivery but now it is saying WEDNESDAY! STUPID FEDEX!

need help?

ok i have a question for you guys, i ordered mine 530 pm on tuesday, but i dont have a tracking number yet or carrier for it? i just have that ZOGO code or w.e. is that weird or should i have a tracking number by now? (im in toronto, canada, just if you were wondering)

I'm in the same boat. Sucks man. I WANT MY NEW MACBOOK!

im in toronto and ordered mine on the 16th, it already says its in transit!

Processor 065-7802 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 065-7805 2GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x1GB
Hard Drive 065-7809 250GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm
Optical Drive 065-7812 SD 8x (DVD+R DL/DVD+RW/CD-RW)

says its suppose to arrive on the 22nd. cant wait!

I have a question:

The Fedex tracking log for my MB says 2x1GB or RAM on the order. I ordered 4 GB RAM. Also, I paid for expedited shipping, but it doesn't denote that on the tracking for the MB, but it does say that the printer I ordered is 2-day expedited shipping.

Is it safe to assume that some moron decided to ship my printer twice as fast as my macbook, and that my MB is configured wrong?

i dunno why it's taking my so long for it to come to Canada, but oh well with my luck it would be here on 29th :)

1) There is no expedited shipping from China. Everything ships the exact same way: "International Priority Direct Distribution." Call Apple up and request a shipping refund. It's crazy how they intentionally misinform customers.

2) I wouldn't worry about the FedEx log, and it reall doesn't matter at the point anyway since you can't do anything about it until it arrives anyway. But if the order is screwed I'd insist on them next day air shipping you (at their cost of course) the missing RAM and then you can return the 2GB after the 4GB arrives via a pre-paid mailer.

Looks like mine arrived in Memphis from Indianapolis around noon, Memphis time. FedEx doesn't fly on Sat so now I can stop impulsively trying to refresh my computer and iPhone every ten seconds :D

I predict I'll have my MBP on Monday, one day ahead of the current "estimated" delivery. Here is how it will go: next plane from MEM to IAD is around 3am Monday. Arrives at IAD around 5am. At local sort at 6:40am. On Truck for delivery at 7:10am. Delivered 2:23pm.

I think this is good advice. You could also request they do the free upgrade in the apple store if you have one close to you. Or offer to drive to one if you are not close for free apple care or some store credit :)

Thanks! I'll look into it.

Ok, I just called apple. After some talking, I got them to credit me $50 for the expedited shipping problem. I also had him look up the model number of my macbook and he told me that it shows 4 GB RAM, but the order info he has shows 2 gigs. So it's still kind of a mystery how much RAM I'll have, but I'm hoping the info on the tracking page is wrong so I won't have to hassle.

Thanks for the info guys!

Mine's "in transit" from Indianapolis, and by Tuesday at 10:30am. Past experience tells me Monday.

Just hope it isn't delivered to the wrong house like my iPod Touch was last month.

UPDATE 20 Oct 08: Arrived! Just before 9am! NO missing pixels!

Shipping method: 2-3 day
Shipping status: Not yet shipped
Ships: 3 - 5 business days
Delivers: 22 Oct - 28 Oct

Its weird that it says 3-5 days on mine because on the site when I ordered it said 1-3 days (and it still does). I've never had it take this long for an Apple laptop to ship out. I'm getting a bit concerned. :D

MINE HAS ARRIVED! But, it came just after I left this morning, so I still haven't seen it as I'm stuck at school...

My MBP is Not Yet Shipped, the printer and MobileMe are shipped, but the FedEX tracking page hasn't been updated and it still says its in Sacramento. I hope my MBP at least gets prepared today. My order was cleared mid-late Friday.
