Just curious (ok I can't freakin wait :D) but how long did it take you guys to go from prepared to shipped?

Update: Shipped on Oct. 25th scheduled for delivery by the 28th YAY! Maybe I'll get lucky and it will come tomorrow or Monday :D

Fedex has the WORST tracking system I have ever used. Does anyone else have experience with them? My order shipped on thursday and is supposed to arrive on monday. The last update was on friday saying it departed from a facility in NJ which is ONLY 2 hours away. WTF, it is now sunday and there hasnt been an update. It could have gone to europe 4 times by now. Any idea whats going on?

First MAC...ever; not counting the iPhone. Lots of anxiety on this purchase. Cost an arm and a leg, I am a PC Power User, and if Bill hears about this he's gonna kick my ass.

I just ordered a 15" 2.8 MBP with an estimated ship day of 3 to 5 days. I hope that's dead on because I only have 'til Nov. 7th to return my current 2.5 MBP. I should be okay. what do you guys think?

I ordered my MBP from Amazon and got next day shipping for $3.99 as an Amazon Prime member. So, I ordered it last Sunday and got it Tuesday. $1,994 plus $3.99 shipping, no sales tax. I don't see any advantage to ordering directly from Apple, though I've done it in the past.

I ordered the 2.8 CPU which I don't see that as an option on Amazon.
 
FedEx says it's been sitting in New Jersey since Saturday, and the estimated delivery time remains at tomorrow at 10:30. We will see.

Mine is supposed to be delivered today but it still says it is at the local sort facility at 8:41 am not good :mad:

yes they ship all the new units from china as far as I know.
 
My package has been in transit for past 2 days now, i think the FedEx guy got lost in Shanghai and can't find the airport since it has been in transit since thursday of last week

I'm quite upset. I ordered 1/2 a day before you and your order is prepped for shipment?:eek:
