Here is a desktop background from my companion.

I started doing this white-on-black style a few years ago and I haven't dropped it. I prefer having consistency in my wallpapers.... to the point where I have one wallpaper for every machine.

Except for the 12, which I decided needed an exclusive.

Interestingly, that shark had is own life online and on other things after the use by Apple :

I worked with someone who claimed that shark photo was his - it was one of his more modest outrageous lies :)

I thought I had done this before but apparently I have not!

Here we go (more specs on each in signature area):

#2: the G5 server

#3: the 17" DLSD

I have not configured the 15" DLSD in my collection yet, so it’s just these three.

[All desktop backgrounds shot by me using colour reversal film, in respective order: Kodachrome 64, Ektachrome EPJ320, and Elite Chrome.]

Update: the 15-inch DLSD PowerBook G4, my Clouded Leopard test box, now has its own thematically consistent background. :)

So…was digging through stuff tonight (I've moved some stuff back to my server) and ran across this…

This was the second wallpaper I ever used on the G5 at my old job. Keep in mind that in February 2005 I had absolutely no idea what this might have been. It just looked cool and I was trying to put the then new 20" Aluminum Cinema Display in the best light.

My coworker at the time had no idea what to make of it, LOL.

I like it! Slackware is one of my favorite distros for no real reason, it just kind of is. I used it for a few months while distro hopping but enjoyed my time with it. I think I'll snag that wallpaper and use it for one of my 4:3 machines.
...especially one that I've actually installed Slackware onto.

Anyway, I don't have them all together so I'll be editing this post over the next few days, but here's the wallpaper I currently use on my PowerBook G4 (and 6600K). Unfortunately, it's 60 pixels too short (1600x900), but I'll live. Nevermind, I have the high res version now!
