try this script.

Code:
echo `cal`" " |
sed "s/[^0-9]$(date +%e | sed s'/ //')\([^0-9]\)/ $(date +%e | sed 's/ *\([0-9]*\)/[31m\1[0m/')\1/" |
sed s'/ $//' |
sed s'/Su Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa//g' |
sed s'/ / \ • /g' |
sed s'/\([a-z]\)[ ]\ ./\1/g' |
sed s'/\•[ ]*\•/ /'|
sed s"/$/ $(date +%A)/"

it doesn't work for me.
[31m\1[0m is shown on my screen, instead the red actual day
why?

I dig it, but I don't really care for the credentials on it in the lower right hand corner but it's whatever. I'd love to start playing with scripts though, you guys have some nice displays going on with those.
