It can be anything from instrumental to comedy.

i like trans siberian orchestra, christmas w/ the rat pack, the great white north, A charlie brown Christmas, Jimmy buffets' Christmas Island

Everybody post theirs!!!!!

Mine would be Cassette Boys xmas song. 15 minutes of completely offensive, very funny spliced up original Xmas song material .

"ooopen fire"

*bangbangbang!*

The greatest Christmas song ever is Fairytale of New York. The original Pogues/Kirsty MacColl version of course, not the Ronan Keating travesty.

I remember seeing them play that live many years back!

Them were the days!
:)

i too like the trans siberian orchestra and also maraih carrey's all i want for christmas....
Another one i like that i don't often hear to much is the christmas shoes or something,
But nothing get me more then the hanukkah songs from adam sandler

I have always loved "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen." I really don't care who sings it as long as it is done well.

The Little Drummer Boy is also a favorite. It always conjures up such a vivid image of a little boy with nothing to give his savior except his drumming abilities, so he plays his heart out. Gives me chills just to think about it.

It is indeed a thing of great wonder. It's a great shame that Kirsty is no longer with us:(

Elvis' blue Christmas. an album i remember my folks playing alot as a kid. classic songs with a classic voice.

also, River by Sarah McLachlan from the wintersong album. That lady can sing. gives me goosebumps.

Christmas with the Rat Pack. Don't flame me, I'm an old man

No way old man or not this is by far one of the best Christmas albums I think.

For me, there are a few songs by a few younger pop singers including Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Trevor Davis (though he isn't pop really).
My most favorite Christmas song is Carol of the Bells, instrumental is definitely great but Kenny Rogers believe it or not sings it quite well in its lyrical form. Second to that is Baby it's Cold Outside. Then the more traditional songs, Rudolph, Frosty, etc. Never mind, I like most of them, except I can't stand John Lennon's "So this is Christmas" or whatever it is.

I’m a big Rat Pack fan, mostly because of Dino. On this album, Frank sounds pre-occupied and un-interested. Dean Martin however… He always managed to at least make sure he was into it. And I’m a drinker, just like his alter ego.

Try 'Lonely this Christmas' by Mud  You will like it! :)

Reading through this thread, I'm nodding my head at several selections and agreeing...

However... by the time we actually get to Christmas, I suspect I'll want to slice off my ears with a blunt penknife if any of them at all come on...

My least favourite Christmas song is probably Wham's Last Christmas

My favorite Christmas song is O Come, O Come Emmanuel. I'm a sucker for just about anything based on plainchant melody. Other than that, I'm a huge fan of the Sussex Carol.

Why?

It's annoying and boring. There's like 10 different songs and they play them non stop from thanksgiving to new years. Screw that.

LOL Because Christmas music is wonderful! Sure by the 25th I'm ready to puke, but that is simply because it is the majority of what I listen to all day long. And it's happy. Rarely do you find a f-ed up Christmas song other than the South Park Kids Christmas songs. ;)
Besides, I like to kick. ;)
