Does this dates mean europe standard 7 of june or american standard 6 of july?

American dates, Apple operates on American calendar setup, thus July would be way to far off to be empty on stock in places/ keep slashed sales going + post wwdc.

of course I'm used to and biased to the American date set up, but the European model makes sense, day ,month, year. each digit right increase in greater substance.

But if they hAve leta suppose new iMacs 2012 in the 6 june the presentation Neves to be perhaps in the end of the current month! Don t you agree?

Re-type this in comprehendible English. Also, the WWDC presentation is June 11th.

Well all we know it is is a prediction from this reseller of when they'll have new iMac stock. It doesn't tell us if it's new macs or old ones. But the fact that it's so far off means they can't get them and the refresh is "close".

That seems like a fair inference. Resellers can get product as fast as ground shipping in most cases, which means a matter of days from anywhere in the world unless the product is so new it's coming straight from Foxconn's dock in Shenzhen. If you have a wad of cash in hand and a reseller says it will take two weeks for you to get an iMac in hand, that iMac hasn't been manufactured yet, plain and simple.

Maybe a refresh in advance of WWDC after all? I've kind of given up expecting it, but the stock levels within the last 24 hours just got a whole lot friendlier.

iMac update BestBuy US

Hey everyone, I'm going crazy waiting and getting fed up with little to no mac news like ever, nothing good since last monday. I say MR stops posting every little iOS tidbit for once. let alone digitizes

that being said, following posts on this thread I decided to look into best buy myself. There are less models models than there were almost two weeks ago at my local store.

Also, I called tonight to see how long the slashed prices on Macs are lasting, and both stores showed it expired at the end of June. This means two things, 1) either no iMacs until after wwdc late June. or 2) the old models will still be at cheaper prices to clear them out more so once new ones arrive anyway; no point to try and get each old piece out of every store.

Following that, I continued at another store to ask about the 21" model that shows "sold out" , indeed it is. Can not order online, in a store ( its not a floor model now really) nor the other Express Lane method or any other is it possible. The guy said it looks discontinued for now,no restock soon.

That could mean 1) 21" is fading away to go back to 24 with a 27" or maybe 24 & 30" , BUT i doubt that. I see it as just that model not being restocked until new SKU is out. Thus, with models sold out, stock low and promotions through June to clear stock regardless, we could see iMac anytime now. But seeing its wed and theres still decent stock + no mac news since last week + some online Apple countries shipping times keep bouncing= rule out before WWDC. Even if retina isn't in the iMac, which I doubt it, the iMac can be silently refreshed when the store is down so that it doesn't distract attention at the keynote to talk about a speed bump + bonuses. But stock and such is dwindling, shipping slowing and higher mix of macs in the June qtr & geek bench scores really provide support for a June release. We are nearing .

P.S. * the Apple ad for Fathers day iPad can be minimized and moved to a side column on the site; in no way does that space or ad prohibit new machines of any kind.

Im going to have to start buttering up to the rep of a particular fright aircraft I maintain at work.

See If I can find any flight been booked out by apple, I have seen there stuff come off my aircraft before.

They fly so much stuff out of china in general, We bring a full 747 in and send it back empty most the time haha.

Well, I'm ready! Beat Diablo 3 (which ran fine on my Mid 2010 27" 2.8 GHz i5 with 16GB RAM and 5750 1GB) and now looking forward to some great games on a 2012 iMac.

That 21" is a BTO with i7 and 8GB. I wouldn't read too much into Best Buy not having it around.. doesn't mean that 21" is going away.

Agreed. Im not, i fully see it as a no stock only. Just had to lay out both scenarios myself before someone jumps on the 24/30" imac train

mmmh, well interesting . The German Apple Store have now no Refurbished Imacs ... also checked European in Italy an France and there are all the same. No Refurb-Imacs available. All 3 countrys only have 3 MacBook Pro. Well, I look since 4 months here or on the Apple-Site and Shop for news since I want switch to Apple and wair for the new one and this is the first time the refurbs went out. Maybe a hint for something new ... maybe not - who knows *gg*

The UK Store is the same - only three refurb MacBooks, no refurb iMacs.

Does refurb stock really mean anything? Maybe if you assume Apple is dumping stock to clear the way for the 2012. I just checked the US refurbs and there were 13 different configurations of the 21 and 27 iMac and there might be more than one of each. They only list each configuration once. Plus, these may not be a stock dump but actual customer returns. I think it means very little.

No, it means nothing ...

but as example, yesterday in Germany there were 7 Different Configurations at Refurb (4x 21" & 3x 27") ... and its not daily that so much different Configurations dissapear from the refurbish in a country.

Canada is slipping

Best Buy (US) has just gone to online-only (store pickup not available) for the top end 27".

It seems unlikely that we'll know anything solid before June (silent refresh during WWDC still strikes me as more likely than putting it on stage though). Still, there's some entertainment value to be gained at watching the stock levels..

Edit: Playing with MacMall.. on the top 27, changing any BTO option except switching to i7 gives a stock status of "call us (usually ships in 5-7)"

perhaps, as a consumer, that is a good policy.

if you're trying to sleuth out information that is deliberately being withheld then it starts to break down as a logical policy.
