Sunday morning at Anderson Ferry. It connects Constance, KY with Cincinnati, Oh along the Ohio River. Snapped this pick before a bike ride along the river this morning.

There are some amazing images in this thread especially this one. Great job so far everyone. I'm going to have to try and take one or two when I get a chance.

I wish I had this feature when I went to the Olympic Stadium for the athletics during the Olympics and Paralympics a few weeks back. Could have taken some pretty good shots.

From your phone, if you are viewing the thread in the mobile version.

At the very bottom there is a button to reply.
It's a simple version there. Scroll down to the bottom of that page,
Click the link "Desktop (Full) Version"
There are additional options, one is "Manage Attachments"
It opens a new page,
Click the "Choose File" button
The phone will have a normal "Take Photo or Video"/"Choose Existing" pop up
Choose the picture.
Click the Upload button
It will attach the photo to the previous page you were on
Navigate back to that page, type in your comment
Click Submit Reply, and Boom! you just added a picture entirely on your phone.

That's the only way I know how to do it entirely from the phone.

::Edit::
If you need more detailed instructions let me know, and I can PM you with more detailed instructions and pictures helping explain the steps.

Thanks for the info! Didn't know I can do that using the iPhone. However, when I try to do the same thing on my iPad 3, the choose file buttons are greyed out. Why is that?

Absolutely stunning! Capturing the mist coming off the river really makes the picture imo.

I agreed. I'm quite impressed by the quality of the pano taken by iPhone 5. I can only compare with iPhone 4, and the pano quality from any apps that I've used is not as good as those taken with iPhone 5.

I haven't figured out how to do this yet lol. Just have the person walk from one side to the other?

Yea, he ran behind me to the other side. I could have gotten him in 3-4 times maybe more if I tried. Will be fun to test out.

This is a hugely underrated feature. Nothing on Android can approach this.

But they'll say "We already had panorama!" Sure its nowhere near as good but they will claim it as equal. Its not.

i notice on the one above as well as a few of mine iv taken that if theres too much light out (sunlight) it kind of washes out the photo?

i just want to make sure this is a lighting issue and not a phone issue, if any photography junkies could chime in that be great!

and keep the photos coming, it's awesome to have the diversity on here to be able to view panorama from all parts of the world, thanks for the great thread lets make it last.

This is tricky business in sunlight. Of course, when taking a still picture, you can easily wash out a photo with the sun. The issue here is that we're panning and certainly changing the effects of the sun coming into or washing across the lens. In my pic of the river in this thread, I actually had to back away from the shore more than I wanted, just so I could hide the sun behind a tree to the right. Still, the bright morning sun completely washed out areas to the right in my pic. It's a different effect than what you see in the pic just above, but it's the same core issue - the sun at different angles can easily impact this type of shot.

wow that is great and huge resolution. is that 4s or 5? cause my 4s don't get that much resolution with panorama i think?

Istanbul Bosphorus - Turkey

Here's an unusual place :) where asia meets europe. Left side is asia, right side is Europe. Very beautiful, u jelly? :)

btw people i am sorry about this being huge. i've uploaded this from my iphone with ios6 via tinypic. zoo sorry it ruined the page with size.

Why are some panoramic photos here long and narrow and some shorter and taller? I tried rotating the camera and it won't change the dimensions.

EDIT: Never mind. Just noticed that you could prematurely stop earlier, making it shorter and taller.

I just moved to the Presidio in San Francisco. It's fun to say that I'm now living in a National Park...It's more fun to say that this is my backyard!

Beautiful day in San Francisco.

FYI, My 2.5 year old Droid X running Froyo does this.

Admittedly, it's not implemented quite so elegantly, but it does create pretty respectable panoramas.
