how do you change the wallpaper of a theme i have themes i like but i dont like their wallpaper..

Hi guys, im kinda new to this and I have a question about the themes.

I downloaded some of them from this site and I'm wondering how do I transfer the themes/wallpaper from my laptop to my ipad 2?

Thanks

Something simple just using some cydia & icon tweaks.

If you have an HTML theme with an included wallpaper, you use SHSH or another method to go into your phone and replace the included wallpaper with yours, USING EXACTLY THE SAME NAME. That way, the HTML will call up "your" wallpaper.

To transfer themes from a laptop, again, you can use SHSH, free in Cydia (OpenSHSH) and a free app you place in your computer's applications folder (CyberDuck for Mac, for instance). Or there are apps that do it through a USB connection (Google for those).

(...yes, I finally caved.)

I doubt I'll ever theme this puppy as heavily as my iPhone 4 (it's an original iPad, low mem and slow processor), but I was getting bored with HTML on that side and figured I needed the challenge of dealing with rotation issues too! LOL

Homescreen's a mess yet, so I'll put that up later. LS is BreezeHD from MacThemes--haven't even bothered changing the wallpaper yet. Next, I need to start finding compatible sliders and figuring out what all the file name differences are... :D

(surlygirl1969--found your picture frame button killer on Cydia, THANK YOU. I hate that stupid button!)

Weird question: any way to put the native wallpaper gradient on the Lockscreen WP as well? I'm using the same wall for both, and oddly enough, I actually prefer having the gradient on this one.

Edit: oh Apple, how I loathe thee. Really, was it really necessary to add "T" to the file names for slider images? WHY?

Ah well, all is better in my world, because my beloved Transparent Status Bar and Ring Slider are now on both my phone and iPad. LOL!

You are TOTALLY welcome. That friggin' button sucks it hard!

My poor phone feels neglected. :D

Suave HD, as ported to the iPad; had to scrounge and resize a few from the iPhone version thread to at least cover the homescreen. I never used Suave on the iPhone, but I might add it to my stash now; the matte look is nice. Not big on the included folder icons though, need to find some others, pref a framed transparent one.

Anyway, it will do until they finish porting Redline Frameless to the iPad; it was supposed to post to Cydia over the weekend, but I haven't seen anything yet.

Also, Iconoclasm 5x5 and Gridlock to clear the left side, and a wood dock from MacThemes.

How did you get dock reflections to work? I've tried everything I could to get mine working on iPad, and it just won't work.

Nevermind...I finally got it.

LOL--just as well, as I have no idea. They were there from the start; I don't delete them on the phone either, even when I'm using a transparent dock. Would you post your solution for others, though? Or in case I screw up mine? :D

Oh, I guess that would be helpful. Well, I had it turned off in both Springtomize and Shrink. I just disabled Springtomize and rebooted. Then enabled Springtomize, switched off "Hide Dock Reflections", made sure dock reflections were on in Shrink, and resprung. Worked like a charm.

BTW...The only reason I went through all that was because when I initially changed my Shrink and Springtomize settings, nothing happened and I still had no reflections. I just figured that rebooting seems to help many issues to which there is no straight answer...and in this case, I figured right.
