Please explain to me why people are so impressed with looking at these screen shots, I really do not get it, I would rather have it working correctly then be impressed with a screen full of apps.

I use to it to see how people are organizing their desktops, and whether to see if anyone uses launchpad, full screen apps, etc.

Its more to show off your wallpaper... and show off your Lion apps and stuff I guess.

Why do people post screenshots of their iPhones or iPads?? Same reason

I've got such an OCD over aesthetics, I'm using Launchpad almost entirely now. Dock is hidden with bare minimals for quick access.

Here are a couple of mine. All I did was change "aqua" to "graphite" in the General settings, and change that nasty space wallpaper into something a little simpler that matches Lion's subdued color scheme.

The wallpaper I'm using is a mod of Wolke, a wallpaper on Deviantart. I don't have permission to redistribute a mod of somebody else's work, I'm guessing.

That's Snow Leopard!

Nope! The user menu on the top right is a dead giveaway.

Also that wallpaper was the leopard wallpaper, not the snow leopard wallpaper.
