Cambridge, United Kingdom. Right outside the house in city centre.

sheesh some of your speeds are slow. 9 mbps on 5 bars of signal? damn.

Yeah. I heard some people in the same network provider in London are getting like 16mb down and 6up or something.

Can't wait for real LTE to come to UK. I bet we need to wait at least another two years. :/

I know, EE will launch it, but no cambridge there + I bet they don't have unlimited and prices will be ridiculous there.

I don't have LTE where I live just yet, but this has got the be the fastest speed that I've ever seen in my area even on HSPA+ that I've gotten from a phone on a cellular network.

Here is mine
This is on Sprint

One thing i am noticing a lot is comment about the number of bars people have. That is useless since the sign meter doesnt reflect your data connection only your voice connection.

http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/

I just read that link you posted. It's true for android phones but not the iPhone. The signal strength is shown by the bars. This is a qoute from that link.

"NOTE: It appears that the iPhone 5 does show LTE signal strength in the status bar, when the LTE icon is displayed. So this does not apply to the iPhone."

Ahh thanks for the clarification on that :) When I read that last they apparently had not made that note at the end

Also, did another test on the way home from work and got this while waiting for the train next to Wrigley Field.

Again, Sprint network in Chicago

8.45 Mbps down, 3.37 Mbps up Pasadena, CA (near Rosebowl) on AT&T.

9.72 Mbps down, 5.87 Mbps up Westwood, CA (Broxton & Gayley) on AT&T.

3.32 Mbps down, 1.33 Mbps up Monterey Park, CA (Garvey & Garfield) on AT&T.

So, I hit my first LTE area today, while down near Cincinnati on business. Columbus doesn't have LTE yet, but it should be coming shortly. Thing is, if it's like Cinci's new LTE, I don't want it. Did about 10 speedtests in different locations, and the absolute BEST was 8.4 MBps down, 5.4 Mbps up.

For comparison, in Columbus on HSPA+, I'm getting between 9-12Mbps down regularly.

Ping was nice and low, though (about 80ms vs 115ms on HSPA+)

Are there any other folks, using Verizon in the Cincinnati area that can share some LTE speeds.

When are they gonna update the speediest.net app to have retina display and to support ipad? it seems to be the go to speed test app.
