No LTE at my house but incredibly fast 4G.

What phone was this done on? 5S/5C?

If so, then this could possibly be

1. a spotting of VZW's upcoming Band 4 AWS LTE network

or

2. superfluous speed test because it is out of speed range of their 700 2x10 network

I'm pretty sure it's AWS. It only worked in a certain area while passing by. At Ontario Mills I still had the same crappy LTE speed.

Question: What is considered an "Acceptable" LTE speed?
10+ mbps download and 5+ mpbs upload?

The reason I ask is because my LTE has been up and down and not consistent.
I get anywhere from 8 mbps to 29 mbps in download speeds.. and why would the speed fluctuate so much?

Location, saturation, environment, and quality of service

Derby, England

Paid a visit to my local PC World in Derby on October 21 and got the following:

55.54 Mbps Download
18.03 Mbps Upload
40 ms Ping

Definite improvement in that area as before speeds were around 22 Mbps down on average.

Just a shame where I live in the City that speeds aren't as great.

Bronx, NY. I had full signal when this was done.

I'm quite impressed with this - at 3 bars of signal I usually get 20 down and 2-3 up.

And @ the guy in Ontario with 75 down - holy ********* sh** lol.

Does selecting the server location matter at all? In our area there is 6 servers that are within 10 miles.. I've selected all servers and I get random results..
Never above 26 mbps.. I'm with Verizon.

I've tried with a variety of servers near my house - there's one in Midtown, another farther away that it sometimes picks, etc - and for me the results are fairly consistent.

My signal at home isn't too good, hence the ~20ish that I mentioned. At full bars I get really fast speeds. So for me signal strength is the biggest factor.

Do you suppose something is wrong with my phone then?
Here are my results.. only thing that is close to being consistent is my Ping.. Everything else is random..

Okay, I see what you mean now. I actually get the same kind of results, usually between 10 or 12 up to around 23-25 when I'm at home with 3 bars. The result I posted with 49 down was at a full 5 bars. It's pretty inconsistent at weaker signal strengths, I think.

Not really understanding why 20mbps is bad... I'm pretty sure 70% of people's wifi at home is under 10.
