That new aluminum stand looks like a huge improvement over the original stand! How is the stability, and can you rotate the screen 90 degrees?

The base is rock solid, literally, as it solid thick machined aluminum. The monitor itself will wobble somewhat if you bump it, but if your table is stable like mine then it's fine. The tilt mechanism is just OK but it works fine.

And yes it rotates. For a 32" monitor you have to raise the monitor to the top most height and then tilt it in order for the corner of the monitor to clear the table when rotating. Once rotated you can then tilt it back.
