That surely can't be your actual setup when working? The laptops block the view of the monitors.
That's what I was thinking. Seems like a big waste of such expensive displays.
Pls to ignore the unholy mess lol. I am a student with a full-time job; no time for such trivial things as putting the uneaten almonds back in the pantry.
I've got a mid-2011 13" MBP with dual-core i7 processor, and self-upgraded 8gb RAM and 7200rpm 750gb HDD. It's hooked up to a 22" BenQ 1080p LCD display and a Logitec speaker set that, while it's not exactly ideal, is loud enough to make my students uncomfortable (I'm a senior resident at a hall at an English university).
My main activities are coursework (usually involving long essays and reports that are very stats-heavy) and making music (LS) and this setup is, frankly, perfect for it. For recording I've got an M-Audio fast track pro and a small line of MXL condenser mics with which I travel. When I'm in the States I keep a fuller setup; this is just for acoustic demos.
The extra monitor is perfect when I'm trying to write with SPSS going full-speed and excel documents with ridiculous amounts of raw data and spreadsheets working through all of it. I open all of my data and statistics editors on the big screen, write on the built-in screen, and use my iPad for research (PDF docs and eBooks). It's also great for kicking back and watching good old American television via Slingbox .
I've also got a wireless keyboard and USB mouse which makes things surprisingly easier. My magic trackpad is on loan to a friend at the moment. I keep a 2TB external free agent hdd close at hand as my Time Machine.
PS my job is managing a bar, hence the Carlsberg mat as a cooling station lol.
PPS I now realize that the nail clippers, eyeglasses, retainer case, and sunscreen officially make me the hottest bitch this side of the Atlantic.

I had this setup for 3 weeks when I upgraded a company from PC to Mac. They got the 2 iMac's and MacBook Air.
Ive got my MBP on my desk on a stand hooked up to a 28" monitor. Wireless printer makes lie easy. My MBA sadly just sits in my desk drawer a lot and doesn't see much use lol. Overall I have to say that my MBP is my main computer, I rarely use my iMac anymore or MBA.
I use my 13" 2010 MacBook Pro as my main computer. Not the fastest computer out there, but by far the fastest, most reliable computer I've ever owned. I've done a number of upgrades to it (RAM, SSD, HDD) and it's awesome.
2010 13" MacBook Pro:
I usually have it connected to my Samsung SA300 23" display. Runs well at 1920x1080.
2010 13" MacBook Pro:
- 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- Nvidia 320 256MB Graphics (Pretty decent graphics for a laptop actually.)
- 8GB RAM (Upgraded from 4GB stock to 8GB of OWC RAM.)
- 80GB Intel 320 Series SSD
- 320GB Western Digitial Scorpio Black 7200RPM HDD (Where my optical drive used to be, using an OWC Data Doubler.)

I currently have a Mid 2010 Macbook Pro. Inside, it has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB of RAM,a NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB and a 500GB HDD. The OS is at the most up-to-date version of Lion. Whenever I'm using it at my desk I typically set the laptop further away. I use a wireless keyboard and a magic trackpad when I have my laptop at my desk. In the picture you'll also notice a 600GB external HDD. I use to be my families back-up HDD, but then we got the Apple Time Capsule with 2TB.
My baby in new in perfect condition, Late 2007, 2.2ghz, 4gb ram, 15" glossy Led, OSX Mountain Lion 10.8, 500gb Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid SSD/HDD, Seagate 320 gb Goflex firewire 800 backup HDD with dock, SAMSUNG 27" Synchmaster TV/Monitor with apple TV for airplay mirroring. My warhorse,Early 2006 1.83ghz, 2gb ram, 15" matte screen, OSX Snow leopard 10.6.8 ,250gb Fujitsu, pretty stripped down, for downloading stuff that might hurt my baby, always ready for a clean osx install if necessary.Attachments
