My very basic screens. I usually change out wallpapers every few weeks.

Why's that .. ? Or is that your reason for using assistive touch .. ? I just know it's nice to have an on-screen option now that my button is dead... but I never had this issue of killing the home button until the "double tap to..." feature came out in iOS. I feel like I started beating on my home button at that point.

Yes. For me it's an OCD thing and what you said about double-tapping.
