Post your non-working/dead Macs!

I'm still holding on to a mid 2009 13" MBP, though I don't know why (probably sentimental reasons - this was my first mac). Battery is pretty much dead and despite doing everything I can think of - thing is still ungodly slow (I chalk that up to the 2GB of RAM.

I suppose if I get bored enough, I might find the right screwdriver and see if I could take off the bottom panel for a RAM upgrade (PC3-8500 prices have to be pretty reasonable by now)

Or, at the very least, getting a usb floppy drive for my PMG5, I may need to look up just what the Performa 405 supports as far as floppies are concerned.

That's a must because if it's 800k only then that USB floppy would be a wasted purchase.

An SSD would also help immensely. (If you think the machine is worth spending money on, that is.)

I have a MacBook Pro (one of the 2007 ones with a faulty GPU) that I need to part out and some parts that can almost make a working A1181. Neither of which are worth spending money on, so I guess I'll just leave them until I come across machines that could use those parts.

The 17" met a tragic death during an argument. Not proud of that.

The 12" iBook was a gift from @RedCroissant. He had recently replaced the hard drive on it. While setting it up for my daughter I discovered that it kept freezing. Turns out he'd pulled the connector for the hard drive a bit off the logicboard. I don't like iBooks, I don't like working in them, so I just left it. I got it back like that because he'd disassembled it to check.

So I got my daughter a 14" iBook - that's the iBook you see towards the bottom. It needs a new DC-In board. Like I said, not into opening iBooks. She ended up with a PC laptop.

The only non working computer/Mac I have is a tangerine iBook Clamshell G3. I have the case and mobo which works just need a doner machine for all the screws, cables, battery, and powersupply.

Untested (no magSafe adaptor) MacBook A1181 - 2006 model
has missing keys , probably bad battery , not sure about rest... until a magsafe treating it as nonworking.

Looks Really really neat.... is the bricking unfixable, permanent? one of my G4 has a bad PSU... if I remember correctly.

Vestiges from a graphic design firm. They shouldn’t be dead, just laying around. I keep meaning to get them booted up and see how they’re doing. There’s a PowerMac G5 and an iMac G5 too, just didn’t feeling like moving things around to take a photo.
