If you guys think the competition has super unnaturally saturated images, you need your eyes checked. You just need to admit that Apple has fallen behind in the camera quality department.

I had a 6s and compared to the G4, the 6s was washed out, soft, low contrast, light artifacts from the optics, and less than natural looking saturation.

I think your incorrect. As a photographer, the iPhone has very natural colors and contrast. Sure in some situations there are issues, but that happens with every phone. Most of you people expect the camera in the iPhone or other phones to be perfect every shot. Well that's not the case. That is why there are photo processing apps out there so you can tweak the image. But I suspect that a lot of you don't know how to do that or you just don't want to. Is it laziness? Maybe. Is it lack of experience as a photographer? Maybe. I've seen so many snap shots here (basic photos), no pro stuff (well some) and I get the impression that some don't know what they are doing before taking a photo. Photography may not be your thing, but some of you really need to try harder and shoot a better photo.

Find your inspiration! Instead of complaining, Get out and practice and take some high quality photos!

I'm sorry, but if you think these "natural" looking photos are actually great photos, you need to see what other smartphones are capable of. These were taken on my 6s:

Does the 6S have the best smartphone camera on the market? No, but it's definitely capable of taking excellent photos. It's good to compare and decide what tools are the best fit for you, but then you make your decision, let go of the comparisons, enjoy what you have and use it well. For me, the 6S+ camera is a good fit for both its photo and video capabilities (and I'm much happier on iOS).

The camera on the likes of the s6/ note 5 are nice and take some stunning looking picture. However imo they are mostly over saturated. So whilst the iPhone 6/6S shots might not have the same wow factor they are more natural and I value that over anything else. Therefore for me the 6 has one of the best cameras on the market.

There's more to photos than simply being "natural". In my same shot, the image is washed out, has low contrast, not sharp at all, and has lens flaring.

Yes not every shot is going to be good. However most of them that I've taken with my 6 plus/6 S plus have been.

Here is what the iPhone 6s and 6S plus are capable of since you guys are arguing and complaining that the camera is not good enough, it has nothing to do with the camera and everything to do with the photographer. The camera won't do anything by itself !

To me anything from the trailer park or whatever it is back looks like a water painting.

I think my 6s plus camera does great. But i am not a professional photograph. I don't want to be a prof photographer. I want my camera to make up for my shortcomings in that respect. I just want to point and shoot. :)

Just wanted to add a couple quick comment on these two shots. The washed out / faded look of the first shot is partly due to the way the sunlight was hitting the lens. And as far as the color rendering is concerned, the entire foreground of the first shot is made up of dull, dead grass. Nothing's going to make that look good.

The second shot is nice IMO.
