I wish this was true... regretfully, as DPR's own iPhone 6s+ review also emphasizes, the 6s+ applies a LOT of destructive noise reduction even in very bright light. Currently, the only way of getting rid of the, in bright light, absolutely unnecessary heavy-handed noise reduction is waiting for my (jailbreak-only) hacks.

The RX100, on the other hand, has configurable noise reduction with OOC JPEG's (again, there isn't anything configurable with the iPhone, not even via any kind of API). And if you shoot RAW (which is plain impossible with iPhones, regretfully), you can always fine-tune noise reduction while post processing.

Agreed, sadly the RX100 iv dominates the iPhone 6s+ - especially in low light conditions. The RX100 has RAW too, which provides even more detail. Still the 6 has a nice camera for snaps when it's not photography critical.

Probably need a tripod and an app where you can choose the exposure time. Very cool.

I used the nightcap pro app with the long exposure option. Its similar to slow shutter cam, but I like night cap pro. I think my exposure was over one minute and my iPhone was in a MeFoto bracket and on a tripod

Yep! All iPhone 6s Plus shots, edited with SnapSeed, shot with cortex camera. Except the shot of the stairs, that was done with the new updated pro camera 8, version 9.3... Low light HDR with long exposure noise control. Very clean images. I was impressed.
