These were all taken using the HDR function of the iPhone. I did some cropping with Camera+ on a few.

The workers was taken as a basic camera HDR photo and then turned Sepia by Camera+. Why Sepia an HDR? Well, the original didn't look very interesting color-wise. Sepia brought out more contrast that made me like it.

The stairs is also basic camera HDR then I applied "So Emo" from Camera+.

This is an non-HDR vs. HDR shot comparison. In this case I happen to like the non-HDR more because it has deeper shadows and brighter colors. This is just using the basic camera app with no other editing.

I did forget, actually :D. Although if you click through to the flickr page the tags list all the apps I used. It's a combination of ProHDR, Camera+, and PictureShow.

iPhone 4 photos

Apple Digital photography forum, only makes since. Let's see some shots with or of your iPhone 4.

i'll excuse you b/c you're a fellow magic fan but i'm shooting that to show what HDR picks up as opposed to a normal shot

i took all of these today, just now:

Apple's HDR:

Pro HDR:

that is a better example of how i think Apple's HDR is no where near as good as Pro HDR
wow!

the difference is amazing. although it seems that pro hdr just compensates for the fact that the iphone camera sucks at properly exposing when theres a bright background.

1st picture: Riverside trail along Turkey Mountain and the Arkansas River in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

This is a picture taken and processed using Apple's own HDR. It was then reprocessed through Photogene for minor color temperature correction.

2nd picture: 29th Street Pedestrian bridge at Riverside Park crossing the Arkansas River in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

This picture was taken without the aid of HDR and before iOS 4.1. It was, however, processed through Photogene for color correction, modest increase in sharpness, and balanced levels which helped tremendously in bringing out the detail along the top of the bridge in an originally darkened area. HDR may have been able to save quite a bit of this picture and display the adjacent land in the background instead of being washed out by the bright sunny day. This is also my current wallpaper picture.
