Hi everyone. I figured this was a good thread to introduce myself as a longtime lurker and new member. I got into collecting PPC Macs a few years back when trying to collect all the iBook G3 colors. Still haven't accomplished that but I do have quite a collection otherwise. Don't currently have an easy way of photographing them all but my collection, in brief:
Power Mac G5 2.3 DC (Late 2005) with a flashed NV Quadro FX, currently quad-booting Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, and Adelie.
iMac G4 20-inch 1.25, dual-booting Tiger and Snow Leopard.
iBook Clamshells (Blue, Indigo, and Graphite, plus an extra parts machine)
iBook G4 1.2 running Tiger
PowerBook G4 (Ti) 867MHz running OS 9 (I run it headless because the dreaded hinges gave up the ghost)
PBG4 1.67 17" running OpenBSD
PBG4 1.5 12" running Tiger (w/Shuriken) - I would love to get OS 9 working on it
My usual go-to is to nix the HDD for an mSATA-IDE SSD and max the RAM, typically do a thorough cleaning/dusting/repasting/repadding as well.
I also have a few 68k Macs (a PowerBook 170 and a rebuild-in-progress Portable)
Hope to share some images of the collection with y'all sometime, in the meantime I'm happy to be here! I definitely owe the community a lot of collective thank yous for the headaches you've helped me resolve, haha. Figured joining was a good way to finally return the favor in some way.
