G5 Dual Core 2.0GHz (PowerMac11,2) late 2005.

Disks tested in the internal SATA-bus:
1. Apple (Samsung HD103SI) 5400RPM 1TB 3.5" spinner HD
2. DogFish 256GB mSata + no name chinese mSata to SATA -adapter
3. OWC Mercury Electra 6G 1TB SATA3 SSD

Tested: OWC Accelsior S PCIe-card + OWC Mercury Electra 6G 1TB SATA3 SSD

AHCI PCIe SSDs generally aren’t bootable on PPC Macs but are on Intel Macs.

Has anyone succeeded with setting the kernel to load from a regular SSD and then delegating the OS to run from an AHCI drive?

At least on BSD, that would also be useful.
