Funny that I have both a family and very well paying job but decided to take the day off to enjoy the excitement. For me it's not about the device but the experience. Call me a fanboy or whatever but I have a preorder and am still going to be there early. Not because I need to but because I want to enjoy the entire launch experience.

Drove by 2 local BestBuy stores and there is no line. Wow. Either they gave out vouchers early or stock is constrained that people didnt bother lining up

Do you not realise how painful it is watching portrait videos?

Do yourself a favour-film something in portrait mode, then, film the same scene in landscape mode.

Tell us which one you think looks far more loaded with detail, natural and (above all) interesting.

If you're catching a quick video, especially while driving, I imagine it was easier to capture in portrait, or not even thought about. It's not being submitted for video of the year, you'll live.

this reminds me of when I bought my iPhone 5s. Every store I went to had them out of stock on launch day. Then I decided to try walmart, and what do you know, they did not even know they had them in stock, got my 5s on launch day without waiting in line.
