Power Adapter wire damaged

Hi,

I have had my Macbook pro for less than a month, but today I just realized that the wire had been damaged (I think it might have been caught under a chair) and now at two places some wires are exposed.
The charger still works but I am a bit worried about getting electrocuted 😱
Should I buy a new one (as I assume it is not covered by the warranty?), or tape it some way, some how ?

I think if you need to ask, you probably should replace it. You'll feel safer.

Thumbs up to Apple ! 😛
They gave me a new adapter without even asking any questions, saying it was not normal to break this way.
I don't know if it was because it was under a month of the purchase, if it was Apple or the location but I'm really glad I purchased an Apple product now!

They seem to be very lenient with the power adapters. Glad you got a new one without issue.
