iPhone X Power button issue

Bump. The power button on a flagship phone literally doesn't work half the time due to a software issue. This is the new Apple.

I know the button press registered because I wait and press it again and it brings up Apple Pay.

What if you disable the Apple Pay shortcut?

Yes, is a sofware issue, I have replace the iPhone 3 times, and the 3 with the same issue

Just turn off assistive shortcut in accessibility and no more delay

Beta 1 and 2 of IOS 12, same issue,
Beta 3: solved!!! One year later they solved the issue, not bad :-s

Are you 100% sure? I’ve had this issue since release and even had phone replaced, hopefully I just wait till iOS12

Yes! With beta 3 no more the issue with Apple Pay.

It’s not really a problem with Apple Pay though, I have Apple Pay turned off but still sometimes the side button doesn’t work to wake the first time, so your saying this is fixed?
