After teasing a rebranded Powerbeats Fit that appeared to be an updated version of its Beats Fit Pro earbuds last month, Apple's Beats brand is officially announcing the new Powerbeats Fit today.

Calling it both an "evolution" of Beats Fit Pro from 2021 and a "new addition" to the Powerbeats family, Beats says the Powerbeats Fit bring enhanced durability and comfort with the ability to withstand intense workouts.

One of the key design features of the Beats Fit Pro was its in-ear wingtip designed to help keep each bud firmly in the ear during workouts and other activities. The Powerbeats Fit deliver a redesigned wingtip that's 20% more flexible than on Beats Fit Pro, helping it to fit more securely into a wider variety of ears. And with four ear tip sizes ranging from extra small to large, Powerbeats Fit should offer comfort for most sizes and shapes of ear canals.

Durability is also improved with Powerbeats Fit, thanks to an IPX4 rating for both the earbuds and the case, making them sweat and water resistant for workouts in a range of environments. The case is also 17% smaller than on Beats Fit Pro, making Powerbeats Fit more pocketable while still delivering an improved total of 30 hours of battery life. The earbuds themselves offer up to 7 hours of playback per charge, with a 5-minute Fast Fuel charge providing up to an hour of playback.

On the audio performance side, Powerbeats Fit feature a custom acoustic platform with proprietary drivers and an H1 chip, delivering balanced sound across the full audio spectrum. Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking is supported, and there's Adaptive EQ to tailor the sound based on your personal earbud fit. Active Noise Cancelling with Transparency mode is also included to help you with shut out or let in the world around you.

The H1 chip delivers the usual Apple connectivity features via iCloud, including automatic switching between devices, Audio Sharing, hands-free "Hey Siri," Find My support, and more. Android users get one-touch pairing, customizable controls, battery status, Locate My Beats, and a Fit Test through the Beats app.

On-device controls make it easy to manage music playback, adjust volume, switch between listening modes like ANC and Transparency, handle calls, and activate Siri. The dual beam-forming microphones with an internal processor to reduce external noise help to enhance voice quality on calls, and Powerbeats Fit let you experience FaceTime calls in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.

Beats is also debuting a new "They Stay in Your Ears" short film ad for both the Powerbeats Fit and the Powerbeats Pro 2, featuring NFL stars Saquon Barkley, Justin Jefferson, and Jayden Daniels, all of whom appeared in the Powerbeats Fit teaser last month. The new short film also stars John Higgins of comedy group Please Don't Destroy.

Powerbeats Fit are launching at the same $199.99 price point as the previous Beats Fit Pro and are being offered in four colors: Jet Black, Gravel Gray, Spark Orange, and Power Pink. They are available to order starting today through Apple's website, and they will be in stores beginning this Thursday, October 2. We'll have additional coverage of the new Powerbeats Fit in the coming days once we've had a chance to test them out.

not a work out type of person LOL :) but all others fall out of my ears... maybe these would work.. but maybe I'm too old :) just use the radio in the car and my sound system in the recording studio...

Still no H2 chip which probably means ANC will still lag behind AirPods Pro. Bummer. I'm using the Beats Fit Pro now and was looking forward to an updated version, but I'm not convinced about the PB Fit.

I loved my originals. Unfortunately the wing tip finally gave out. The new APP3 seem to finally fit my ears well enough due to the redesign.

Add me to the list of BFP fans who are disappointed that PBF didn't get H2, as we await side by side comparisons of ANC and Transparency performance.

Hopefully they fixed the fragility of the wingtips this time. Both of my BFP were replaced under Apple Care for torn wingtips.

My BFP are still going strong after 3+ years. Battery obviously degraded a bit and occasional detection issues these days but these are only minor issues.

Nonetheless had planned to replace once new model launched. Struggle to see enough here to do this though. Half hoping the lack of Pro moniker on these means we may see a better version eventually.

Both my wingtips came off too.

But it was an easy fit — just a dab of superglue.

Shame on me for not trademarking our company logo years ahead of Beats. Yet shame on their firm for not researching logos before presenting them. Although, we are small, and do mostly healthcare. But it works for them, so that's cool. Nothing is original anymore anyway.

I love my Beats Fit Pro but during many years of use I've had an unresolved problem where after a night of being in the case, one or the other earbud stopped working, requiring a reset. I've done probably four replacements without the problem recurring, and tried the full range of solutions for the problem. It's a known issue and hopefully they've addressed it with this new design, but in the absence of an H2 in the version I won't be upgrading unless it becomes clear that problem is fixed. If the pair I have break or get lost (other than that problem I really love them) I may opt to get the current generation again, if they're still available and the price drops.

I have two pairs of BFPs (one for work, the other for my gym bag) and they are both going strong, love ‘em. No reason for me to replace them for the foreseeable future.

My issue was the bloody wings of the first generation. I had three pair. Loved them. Over time the wings would tear and you couldn't buy replacements. I called apple out of warranty and even the tech was shocked that it was the price of new ones. These tips by the picture look a bit more durable.

I don't understand the H1 chip. I switched to the beats with the hooks. For fifty bucks more you get some physical buttons and the H2 chip. before you buy the fits check out the Powerbeats Pro 2. Both fit me well and I was worried that the hook would bother me. Never feel it . The fits (first gen) stayed in well enough for me but the Pro 2 are nice that way.

Only gripe is with the hooks, the case is "massive". By now you might even be able to get the Pro 2s on sale. Never have actively used the HR feature as I have a watch but another nice to have.
