With the pro 3s they stay in my ears when doing gymnastic moves or mountain biking. Always wanted beats cause of the wings but the h1 holds it back. But with the APP 3s there's no need

That’s why they gave it a new name because it’s not really a second gen product or even an S for that matter
And assuming (hoping) that they no longer tear, a new name/model sidesteps the flawed wingtip design of the BFP.

I'll be waiting for the wingtip durability tests on YT.

I’m on my release day fit pro’s and although they still technically work I’m desperate for an upgrade. I have the pro 3’s and even though they are more secure than the pro 2’s I don’t trust them for the gym. I got the PB fit’s with the hopes that they at least sound better than the fit pro’s and with fresh batteries. Time will tell with the wingtips but they can’t be worse than my fit pro’s which both tore off just after AppleCare expired.

I do Olympic lifting and often drop my weights, which caused my Beats Fit Pro to skip for 2-3 seconds. Will need to see if this release fixes that.

I'm in love with my Beats Fit Pros.

I wonder if these are the replacements for the Fit Pros, or is there a Fit Pro 2 coming with H2 chip?
They are the successor to the Fit Pro.

I purchased the Beats Fit Pro as soon as they were released. I still use them everyday. The silicone ripped apart on each earbud, but I superglued them, and it’s held since. My left outer ear canal is shaped such that very few earbuds stay in place. The Fit Pro does.

Hopefully, the ear tips are the same as the Fit Pro. I use Comply foam tips and still have some.

Edit: The specs show an H1 chip.

The only earbuds that have fit my ears. I was going to try the new air pods - I seem to do the each upgrade and then a kid gets them when they don’t fit 🙄 The kid this time that will NOT be getting the is the one that lost my beats. Hmph.

But, ORANGE.

Loved them, but switched to sony's because the tips would cause an allergic reaction on me.
Does anyone have this problem? I guess switching to foam tips would help though

Wow. No H2 nor wireless charging makes them not a suitable upgrade for me.
I never bought the first gen because I felt eh give it a year they will bring wireless charging … fast forward over 3 years and still no wireless charging for the case and they can’t upgrade the chip! They dropped the pro naming I bet to push the hooked pro as the only pro guess give it another 3 years and they will just drop these completely. 🙁

I would pay an extra $50 to have the H2 chip.
Could be nice but I just got the Powerbeats pro 2 and while the transparency is amazing, the anc is worse than I could’ve imagined. That h2 chip wouldn’t make these a better purchase. It’s how the Beats department uses the features of the chip. Hopefully these are better than the PBP2’s🤷🏽‍♂️

Here and repeatedly over the years I’ve had people stating that the wings broke on their pairs of BFP. Out of interest, how did this usually happen? Inserting into/removing from ears? From the case? Loose in a pocket?

I’m clearly jinxing myself and mine will both snap in the next week after stating that mine seem absolutely fine after 3.5 years of heavy use and fairly rough handling 🤣️

I bought the first Airpods. They were alright. Fell out of my ears enough to be really annoyed and want to give up on them. But not enough to actually do it, or stop wearing them in the sauna until they stopped working (I wonder why). Bought the 1st gen Pros, and thought it would solve the falling-out problem. Nope. Wore them for 20 minutes and boxed them back up.

Waited and waited for something great. Few are designed to REALLY stay in your ear without the over-ear loops. And I really only wanted something that is low profile that stays within the plane of your ear, so I can actually put my large over-ear ANC headphones OVER these when I'm on a plane for some double noise suppression. It's a dream to not hear **** on flights.

The Beats Fit Pros were the closest. Even though I'm caucasian male, I really wanted the Kim Kardashian "moon" color variant because I hate stuff that stands out. Just thought it would be cool for these to blend in with my skin and not draw attention to the fact I was wearing them. At worst, I'd look like a jiu jitsu guy with cauliflower ear while I was working out. But you couldn't find them. For whatever reason, they did the brand partnership with her, and the products disappeared. Only available on Amazon by third parties for exorbitant prices. Such a great idea to have skin-matched colors.

So I ended up buying blue ones. Even though I hate the color and they still fell out occasionally, they are definitely better than any AirPods in this regard. Ended up getting the after-market memory foam ear tips, and this was the game changer. Fit is amazing now. Sound is okay. ANC is not great (but it's apparent). And the microphone for calls and voice messaging is absolute dog ****. Not perfect, but SUPER usable. They stay in. As an Apple ecosystem guy, they switch devices flawlessly between devices (there is really nothing out there that compares to an Apple earbud/headphone product in terms of pairing and switching between devices).

Hopefully these are still real improvements in practice. That's what a product company is supposed to do. Improve them. And the Beats Fit Pro still had so much room for that. If they don't fix the microphone issues, durability, sound quality, fit, just a little, then what's the point. It's sounding like they're a $150 product, so I'll wait for those discounts. Or to see if they maybe have a pro lineup coming.

The silicone likely weakens over time due to repeated removal. For me, it didn’t happen all at once. The tear started small and grew. And one wingtip lasted about a year longer than the other. Both were fixed with superglue and continue to work.

Was hoping for 9hrs like the studio buds but I'm ok with one extra I guess.
The fit pros have been great for long days on the bike. No issues with the tips but one bud had lost the seal over the speaker and crackles a bit in the wind and rain now if noise cancelling is on.

As happened with the AirPods Max while they just changed the port to usb-c, so same process here, Tim Cook should get retired from Apple
3-4 years and this’s the best you can do? It’s the same symptoms over & over again

Right?

I'm super satisfied with my BFP , but if these were a significant upgrade over mine, I would gladly buy them. In the end, I use them a lot.

Ok so I just got them and I’d say so far they sound very slightly better than the fit pros. The noise canceling is slightly better but still trash compared to the pro 3’s. The eartips are exactly the same as the fit pros and the large was still too small for my ears so I put the spinfit extra large tips I had on the fit pros and got a passing result on the seal test. One feature that is significantly better than the fit pros is the range of the buds which is very similar to the pro 3’s in how far I can get from my phone before they start to cut out. Overall they’re just a slight upgrade from the fit pros but the case is smaller so I’m happy. Let me know if you want any other info.

I'll be honest, not a huge fan of the BFP. They stay in my ears well enough, but they are also uncomfortable after a couple hours. That said, my biggest grip was really the case. I've dropped them a couple times just because of the awful slick plastic texture, coupled with the awkward size that makes them not fit that great in pockets. Not sure anything here improves upon that, unless I misread.

Might make a move to try the AirPod Pro 3 going forward and just keep these in the gym bag.
