Apple today began accepting Powerbeats Pro orders in over 20 additional countries, including many in Europe.

powerbeats-pro-lifestyle.jpg

The rollout includes Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

As in other countries, the headphones are only available in black at launch. Ivory, moss, and navy colors will be released later this year.

Powerbeats Pro first launched in the United States and Canada in early May, followed by the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, and China later in the month. The headphones have faced tight availability, with orders placed today estimated for delivery in between 10 and 20 days in many countries.

Powerbeats Pro are Apple's first totally wireless Beats earphones, equipped with the same H1 chip as the second-generation AirPods for hands-free "Hey Siri" and faster connection speeds between the iPhone, Apple Watch, and other devices.

Like the Powerbeats3, the Powerbeats Pro feature adjustable, secure-fit ear hooks and earbud tips with four size options. They're essentially sportier AirPods, complete with a durable design and sweat resistance. They'll last up to nine hours per charge, with more battery life via an included charging case.

Powerbeats Pro are priced at $249.95 in the United States and at EUR249.95 in many European countries.

Love my PowerBeats. My ears are the wrong shape for AirPods, so it’s been a long wait after reading how much everyone loves theirs. Happy to finally be in on the H-chip game, really is so much better than standard Bluetooth!

At first I thought they were uncomfortable with tiny sound but after using bigger tips (which created a tighter seal) and adjusting the ear hooks (they can bend anyway you want), these are hands down the best earphones I've ever used.

Good news. The margins on them must be phenomenal. Beats was such a killer acquisition.

Yep. So many people only focused on the streaming music end of the deal, but just the Beats hardware portion was a genius move. With its Beats line, Apple is now the #1 seller of wireless headsets in the world, and they have a large majority of the the worldwide premium headphone market (defined as $200+). #Winning

Ordered a month ago from Chinese mainland to Hong Kong via Taobao and it was delivered in just a few days with constant supply on the online merchant. Here in Apple Store Hong Kong the estimated delivery date is... what? August? It's as if they just sent a few to the city.

Had Powerbeats Pro for over a month now and can draw some conclusions.

Sound quality: varies depending on a source. For example, on iPhone as conversation progresses quality gets worst to the degree when headphones have to be disconnected to carry conversation still 100% charged. Seems some driver issues.

Dropping connection: audio can abruptly drop for no apparent reason - the source is playing, Bluetooth is shows connected - headphones dead. You need to stop audio, disconnect from Bluetooth, connect again, start audio source to continue listening. Very annoying.

The base: it is too big to put in your pocket, but still small enough to be easily lost - I've already lost the original one - the replacement will leave you $99 short and that if you lucky Apple store will have it. Apparently stores are not ready for this product fully yet and in my case had only one base in their repair shop [lucky me].

Headphone anatomy: describing just my particular case. The "around ear" plastic spring is far from the optimal (for me) and headphones do get pulled out from its place and need periodic adjustment. I wouldn't go for a run wearing them due to high risk of them becoming loose and eventually dropped.

Positive: they are truly water resistant. At least survived one accidental ocean water splash with no downside.

Conclusion: not worthy the price, nor by function, no by quality. Over the ear kind from good brand would deliver more enjoyable experience.

Beats is not a third party.
Legally, Apple has taken ownership of the third party so that Apple's Accountant King can enjoy the profit from low-quality, celebrity-branded consumer electronic baubles bought by chavs and yuppies with more available credit than available brains.

This is not an Apple product by any non-accounting definition: It has no Apple design, no Apple DNA. It is the opposite of the kind of product that Apple produces, or at least used to produce.

Apple bought a company that was making and selling crap, and has continued to sell the same crap.

That's why I say third party.

If you start off your post with “legally”, then you’re wrong. It shares internals with the AirPods. It has Apple DNA right through it.

And they’re brilliant. I’ve owned a lot of workout headphones over the years and these are the best by far. Brilliant wee things.
