I took an HP laptop and digital camera to the UK on vacation. Both were rated to work on UK power, so I charged them there. Big No-No. When I returned home, the batteries in both devices would no longer hold a charge longer than a few minutes.

Just be mindful or buying used (or even new) batteries from the US, as you might run into the same problem

No the one on the link was from the uk

Ok, I didn't check. But this could be the explanation for the original battery, since you bought it someone in the US, right?

Yea but the brick would work and i used an original apple uk 210volt plug which came with my MacBook Pro so not only should the battery be charging it should be charging them on the double lol. Maybe because the battery was like in the box for 30 days and was pushed around over seas

What the?

Ok something new came in. While leaving my mac on it's reading: Battery 1% charged, 10:00 Hours till completion. Coconut battery reads 24mAH out of 3074mAH is charged. Is this now leading to the faulty DC board or is the battery starting to not be an ass:eek:

EDIT: Now reads 25mAH , Now 26mAH but why is it soo slow lol.

Ok, well being the complete nob i didn't let it charge, i just restarted the computer Doh. Good news, 1st there was a bad stick of Samsung 256MB on the lower, Popped it out, Mac makes a bong noise, No scramblled screen. So 77% done. Next 33% is making my mac charge it. The battery is deff not dead. I let it charge over night and it made one light and dissappeared, Doh!. So now when i put in the battery for a few seconds it will: Battery sign of charging 10:00 for a few seconds then it goes to not charging so how can we kickstart the battery then get it going hehe. Thanks all

I have a 1.67G4 15" PB and it was shutting down, out of the blue. Battery would charge lights would light and it has about 70% capacity left. It worked fine on charger. Replaced battery and it's been running beautious ever since.
