Powermac G4 MDD won't automatically sleep! (Mac OS 10.4.7 Server)

But when it sleeps it disconnects Why is it doing this?

Because it sleeps. That's how the system is designed. You can't connect to a system that's off or asleep.

OK, looks like I'll have to lower the voltage on the fans... or is there a way to remotely wake it?
