If you'd asked me this a month ago, I'd have said the iPhone 13 mini. I miss the smaller phones. My current is an SE 2020 (I chuckle at the branding of that phone as "small"). But I'm coming to want a more top-end camera. I've played around with my brother's 12 Pro, and I love the addition of the telephoto lens. So I'm leaning now towards the 13 Pro. This would be the first time I'd purchased an iPhone with the top-of-the-line camera since...the 4S? It actually gets me pretty excited.

When Apple decides what it wants to do on privacy then I'll decide if I want to buy another iPhone. Delaying the decision till after they release the new iPhone so they can cash in on sales before people get angry might work for some but not for me

Keeping my 12 Pro Max on iOS 14 for now

I'm strongly leaning toward the 13 Pro Max, but I'm definitely not 100% set on it. I'm currently on an 11 Pro and love its form factor, but I wouldn't mind more screen real estate and a bigger battery. I think my decision will ultimately come down to the wire.

Right now, I'm 50/50 whether I'm buying a 13 Mini or sticking with the 12 Mini. If it's just what we know from leaks/rumours then I won't be upgrading. If battery life increases by a couple of hours then that would probably persuade me if no other new exclusive features are revealed.

small phones suck
Big phones suck. Recently had to hand in my reliable iPhone 7 for an 11 at work, and my goodness, it's a brick. Hard for me to fathom that people voluntarily choose phones this large and even larger!

anyway, to the question: I may keep my 12 mini or may get a 13 mini. I'm aware it will be a small upgrade, which is why maybe I won't get the 13 mini, but this may also be the last reasonable sized phone Apple makes for the foreseeable future, in which case I'd want to get the 13 mini and keep it for as long as possible.

For me the thing to do now is to stretch the life of whatever I have. Becoming increasingly disappointed with Apple for some reason. I’m going to rock this 11 Pro for years until it’s obsolete and stops getting updated. The battery life and cameras are awesome. The iPhone is such a mature product, it kind of seems Apple realizes this and is pushing iPhone design and battery as the main selling points.
