Pro Max is the plan, but the standard 13 is in the cards. It depends on how Apple decides to differentiate the Pro models this year. I know I want a larger screen than my iPhone X.

I’ve grown tired of the size of the 11 Pro Max (I have smaller hands), and really don’t want to get a phone that’s actually LARGER still. So I’m going to go to the standard 13 Pro.

Choice will be dependent on specs, colour options for me.

Might get 13 Mini or 13 Pro if the camera is improved enough.

Pro max is my plan. I’d love to get the mini. But only if it had the same cameras/performance/battery life of the pro max.

I'm planing to get a Pro.. unless a pink non pro is very tempting. I will see what the colours options are.
I still have a 6s plus and really need an upgrade, otherwise I would wait for the 14, it seems much better overall

Update that I just added to my original post:

I just spent 25 minutes at an Apple store trying to get a feel for which size I’d prefer, and I came no closer to a conclusion. 🤦‍♂️

I’ve been wanting to downsize from my XS Max for the past two years. I crave something more ergonomic, but I do love the larger display size and battery life of the larger phones.

I was originally planning on upgrading to the Mini, especially since this is rumored to be its last year. It feels sooo good to hold, easily the best feeling iPhone being sold right now. However, the display, as expected, is small. It shows a lot for the size, but even just holding it away from my face at normal distance, things just look small and far away. I also have reservations about the battery life because my XS Max is already barely lasting me through the day anymore. I also have downsized before (7+ to 7) and regretted it very quickly after 6 months, yet I’ve kept my pretty large XS Max for 3 years now. There’s also a part of me that’s thinking, ”you’ve waited three years and are paying hundreds of dollars to upgrade, yet you’re not going to spend a couple hundred more to get all the features available?” I’ve always gone for the most feature-packed iPhones and to pay all that money to upgrade yet still be missing out on some of the upgrades would feel kinda bad.

The Pro Max triggers my primal instincts that say less more is more. The large screen, large battery, and having all of the possible features in one phone really would satisfy my upgrade hunger. I love how immersive the screen is. I’m drooling at the thought of having ProMotion on it too. However, I noticed the slightly larger body and different shape made some things even harder to reach than on my XS Max, which is mostly comfortable for me. It’s definitely a big phone, and I’m not sure it’s wise to get if I’ve been thinking of downsizing for the past 2 years.

The 6.1 Pro is probably the phone I really should get. It would give me the Pro features, including ProMotion, it would give me the downsize that I wanted while still keeping a somewhat immersive screen and more battery. It’d be a very happy medium solid upgrade. However, for some reason, this phone feels closer in size to my XS Max than the Pro Max does. I feel like if I were to get this phone, because I’m not going from one extreme to the other (either small with the Mini or even larger with the Pro Max), that it almost wouldn’t feel like an upgrade at all.

I need help with this first world problem. 😭

Don’t go smaller, you‘ll regret it, I’m blown away by how much better the battery life is on my 12 pro max compared to my previous xs max, it’s only going to get better with the 13 pro max. 👌😁

I’m downsizing from the 11 Pro Max to the 13 pro this time. Want something more comfortable and can fit in pockets better.

Undecided at this point. I had originally planned to skip but since Apple has postponed the CSAM detection I may buy. I had considered going to a Pixel but if you read the GooglePixel subreddit there are a lot of negative customer service/support posts which doesn’t seem to happen with Apple so it makes me nervous as I view a smartphone as a necessity. Any issues with an iPhone I can walk into an Apple store and get a replacement device the same day.

That being said I currently have a 12 Mini so if I were to buy anything I would go for the 13 Mini as it should be more refined or I’d go with a 13 Pro as I wouldn’t mind the 120Hz display plus the extra RAM would be nice as I tend to get app refreshes on the 12 Mini. I also would welcome any battery improvements that I can get.

If I buy an iPhone 13 model, it will be a 13 mini. But I hope not for as long as possible. I’m still clinging to my precious 4” SE1. I’ll most likely purchase the 13 mini at the iPhone 14 release next year if the mini model is axed (but I still won’t use it until my SE1 becomes totally unusable), or if my SE1 becomes unusable before then. But I‘m also considering getting an SE2. I still need to compare both in hand to see which one is easier for me to use one-handed.
So being a definite maybe, I refrained from voting.

If I decide to upgrade from my X I'd say I'd like to try a bigger device so it would be the 13 Pro Max and keep my X as a backup phone (after an Apple battery replacement).

same here but the battery barely last a day and I already changed it 2 years ago and I need a camera upgrade , otherwise I would wait for the 14
Mine lasts half an hour. Strange, there must be something going on behind the scene cause I changed my battery last year.

voted 13 pro here. If only they had a pro mini line.

iPhone 13 most likely. Interesting it has so few votes on here. I think this shows how disconnected places like these forums are from the masses. It was my understanding that the base model is the best selling.
Depending on eventual pricing and storage configurations I may go for the pro but at the moment I’m not planning on it.

I’ve bought the max or the plus iPhones ever since I can remember and ya know what? I’m sick of always thinking about how big it is in my pocket. Time to try something new. Regular iPhone 13 pro for me

finally upgrading from my 8 plus which has quite a few issues these days. will miss touch ID and 3D touch. going to a 13 Pro or Pro Max.

13 Pro Max 128GB in black if its a true black (not darker tone of space grey of the iPhone 7) or the new colour (bronze or burgundy or purple etc).

I tried a 12 Pro last year and tried to convince myself it‘s good enough. Definitely not LOL

leaning towards the Pro Max, upgrading from a X. the size doesn't bother me and more battery life is always a good thing. i really hope they keep the blue. if not, i'm not sure which colour to get.

I have an 11 Pro and will be upgrading this year. I also spent some time in an Apple store trying to determine if the Max was the right phone for me. Considering I value the portability of the 6.1 size I will be getting the 13 Pro unless there are some REALLY significant features that are only in the Max.
