Well do you think I should go to bed or wait a little longer?
iPhone 6 preorders kicked in around 3:20 AM EST a few weeks back. Sit tight.

I don't think there were pre-orders last year, just reserve for in-store pickup starting at 3AM on release day or similar. I seem to recall going to Best Buy and waiting in a small line, and I normally avoid that.
Maybe that's why I don't recall it. I just know they've done this before with iPad launches when they aren't specific on a time it's for a reason. Sucks because I'm up almost two hours later then I prefer...
October 18 on NZ store!
I have found something interesting.
I was thinking: "If they are promising it will be available for pre-order on the New Zealand store, it has to be available soon, because it's 8pm now in New Zealand."

On the NZ store, they're saying October 18.
So pre-orders are not coming for at least 4 hours!

Singapore is saying October 17. So somewhere between 4 and 9 hours from now, sales will go online.
No, more of the fact the site didn't go down like it does for every major product release. And we are almost 30 mins after usual time.
I'm saying it will start worldwide at the same time, yes. Which will be October 17 in US and Europe, and October 18 in NZ.

This seems to be the new Apple Ethos treat devoted customers like dirt. It wasn't that long ago when they were on the verge of going out of business. Its not the way you treat people willing to spend a grand each year on your products. Many companies would love to have people up in the middle of the night.
