Pre-order at Apple.com, will i get it on the 26th?

Yes. Just pre-sign for it. Since its priority overnighted, Id assume most of us will have it before noon on the 26th.

"*To receive Mac OS X Leopard via standard shipping by October 26, order by midnight on October 24, 2007." so, i have no idea what that means....

Dude, it's not really that hard...

If you order the upgrade by midnight on the 24th, it will be at your house on the 26th.

If you order it at 00:01 on the 25th, it will not be at your house on the 26th.

It depends on which service Apple uses. If it is FedEx, "Priority" means that it will be delivered by 10:00 AM. :D If it is DHL or UPS, "priority" simply means that it is delivered next day. :(

Standard FedEx overnight usually arrives pretty late in my parts... 4:00 to 6:00 PM depending on how busy they are.

Hey if u get it by 6 still better then having to drive back from the Apple Store =)

Here is a good question, I placed my order from Apple.com and used the Free shipping option.

Now for my order receipt page it says my shipping is *standard*, but it still say Ships by: DELIVERS ON OCTOBER 26TH.

Will this change as they finalize the order? Should I call them or wait?

i just ordered mine and the wording led me to believe i will get it on the 26th. i've had several experiences preordering new software and sometimes they ship it ahead of time so you get it the day it officially comes out. if not, it's no big deal. although i'm looking forward to it, i haven't been anticipating it's release like i have in the past.

Yea but is there a reason why other people have their shipping as overnight? Maybe closer to california?

Do they ship with any carrier besides FedEx? Im assuming its priority overnight with FedEx which means it should be delivered by noon. Actually, just looked at FedEx's description, its 1030am to most places except "remote areas".

Apple in Australia uses TNT-and I got my most recent order a day after placing the order.

I just got this spam message from apple called

"Watch the Mac OS X Leopard Guided Tour."

It then says,

"Have Mac OS X Leopard at your door on October 26.*"

and in small print on the bottom:

"*To receive Mac OS X Leopard via standard shipping by October 26, order by midnight on October 24, 2007."

so, i have no idea what that means....

it means to get it on the 26th..u have to order by the 24th at midnight

cause orders will out out at 12:01am on the 25th

This is the first time I ordered with Apple. I heard that you could pre-sign an order with Apple. I don't see that option anywhere on my order status for Leopard.

Pretty self explanatory, no?

Grrr. My order say's "Standard-Residential". Please tell me that's going to change tomorrow? =[

Oh and does Education discount affects shipping method?

Mine does too, ive never had any problems with things being delivered overnight to where I live, and I live in the middle of the woods =P.

My stance is if it is not listed as priority overnight or "shipped" by wed, i'm gonna call Apple and see whats up.

If I have to I will go to the Apple Store on Friday.

You'll only see that option AFTER it ships I believe. So, once it ships, login and fill out the pre-sign forms to leave on your door.

Some people are getting a bit worked up over "shipping status" a week before this thing even delivers. If Apple says it will be at your door the 26th it will be there the 26th. Dont worrry about it.
