Does anyone remember from last year whether you need to force quit the Apple Store app and relaunch for the preorders page to come up?

Or does it refresh automatically?

Force quitting definitely the way to go and served me well last year. In actual fact when I got onto the store via the iPad app, the app on the iPhone didn’t refresh itself until well after I’d checked out

Yep, totally. I force quit my ipad app, iphone app, and refresh on multiple browsers on two computers. The iPad app has always worked the best for me.

I want to change the shipping address to my work address. If I recall from the iPhone 7 preorder last year, buying via Apple Store using carrier upgrades, the shipping defaults to the billing address associated with carrier, even if you change it on the Apple account. Can I change the billing address on the AT&T carrier website, then with Apple? Will that work as long as I did it well in advance of placing the preorder?

There will be errors but use the app store app and you will be fine. Just be quick, know what you want and have the configuration you want in your favorites. I have been successful in getting the new iPhone day one for many years now following the same procedures.

I wonder if we will be able to purchase for retail pricing @ pre-order day for Verizon unless the carrier doesn't matter anymore?

There are multiple Verizon threads in the iPhone forum, where someone will likely have an answer to your question.

Same here.

The Apple Store app is definitely the best way to go. The website always crashes and last year I completed my purchase on the app but the website still hadn't refreshed.

It will be very interesting to see if the majority of people are willing to spend the rumoured price tag of the iPhone 8/Edition.

Using iUp program, the 256GB 7+ is about 46/mo or 970 ish, so not far from the current top kit pricing...
Think there will be plenty of preorders for the new Edition/X OLED iPhone

iPhone 8 is going to be HOT so the best way to guarantee you will get one is to camp OUTSIDE the Apple store and use their wifi at 12:01pm. If you camp AT the Apple store then your packets will get to Apple BEFORE the other packets, and if their website is flooded, your order will get in while others will get 404s.

Better hurry and start camping the Apple store RIGHT NOW because others are probably getting in line. If they are CLOSER to the router than you then their packets will beat yours. It's simple physics, speed of light is finite.

Bump. Any feedback here? Thanks!
