Hopefully SOON! There is what I would call a fairly major bug that is keeping me from using my university's wifi, and I would hope they would correct something like that quickly.

My guess would be either June 30th or July 7th. It is usually Tuesday when Apple releases its updates. July 7th sounds more likely though

I had this problem the other day as well. I never had a problem when using my touch last semester at school, and I had my iPhone there the other day and it wouldn't let me connect because of something like an HTTP Authorization.

Hope it's soon. I've been having a problem with holding a 3g signal. I'll get a call and I will have all my bars with 3G coverage. Soon as I answer the call all bars will drop and I get a call fail. Been happening all week. Driving me crazy.

well looking at this i would say it cant be soon enough maybe 3.01 will give us new hardware oh wait thats imposible

There are always a handful of bugs discovered at product launch. Apple has a long history of providing the first iPhone update within about four weeks of product launch.

Fix apple logo of death please.

Also, I'm guessing they will make same additions to improve battery life and wifi drops/reception.

I just want them to fix the whacked out ambient light sensor making the phone super dim in low light situations.

They need to fix Wi Fi. I can connecting to my router from my bedroom with 2.2.1, with 3.0 I can't they signal is too weak. When my touch 2G, iPhone 2G had 2.2.1 it worked great. When they moved to 3.0, they both suck. My touch 1G works fine, but I will update tonight and will let you know.
