Highly doubt it will be 'iWatch', for the simple reason that it has too many connotations with a traditional timepiece.

Apple's product is (allegedly) related to health and fitness, so the title of a 'watch' limits its functionality to telling the time.

I'll take a guess at 'iBand'. Like many of Apple's other products, it describes the form of the device but doesn't pinpoint any one specific feature, much like a Pad or a Pod. iPhone is the exception because, as Jobs quite profoundly put it, they wanted to reinvent the phone.

They might unveil new iPods as well and thus brand it as an iPod Watch. People will end up calling it the iWatch as with the iPod Touch and iTouch misnomer.

It will be called: More

It says so on the event invite and the countdown page.

Remember the macbook air invites? It was hiding in plain sight: "There's something in the air"

Tagline for this product: Know more. Do more. Live more. Get More (or something like that)

And, I ask you, who doesn't want more? :)

A good idea, but I think the concept of "More" maybe will get used with the new(s) bigger iphone(s)

More = Large

Hmmm. That's not such a bad idea. If you go to apple.com and search for "iLife" it takes you directly to a page that lists the old iLife apps individually, but there is no mention of the bundle's old name "iLife" anywhere on the page. (SEE UPDATE BELOW)

Are they preparing to use the "iLife" moniker for a hardware product? It sounds very appropriate for a health-oriented item.

UPDATE: I just searched apple.com for iLife again (ten minutes after my prior search) and it's giving me "No results were found. Please try a different search." Hmmm.

UPDATE 2: Just searched again, 5 mins later, and I got the expected page: "About 757 results found for 'iLife'." Strange stuff going on

I think the name iLife is just too general. Apple hasn't gone that broad when it comes to naming their products. Come 9/9, we shall see.

iWear or iTime. Any name with iPod in it is stupid because it is much more than an iPod imho.

Same argument can be made for iTime. iWear is a possibility, but I'd still bank more on iPod Wear than iWear. A "pod" is only a device; it no longer means a music device. An iPod Touch is the perfect example of a "pod" device that's primary purpose is far from music. Apple even renamed the "iPod" app the "music" app on the iPhone a couple of years ago.

This guy gets it! I've been saying this for months. Not too seriously, but I'm weary of the other names and wonder if Apple would like to use the wearable for some epic revival of the iPod line.
Or iPod Wear. I kinda think this could be the next generation iPod

Clearly it's going to be the iEye. Since you'll be staring down at your wrist a lot.

And then, when you scrape your wrist against a wall by mistake and destroy the screen, you can scream, "iEyeEYE!!"

Truly.

iWolf or iBeast

Spike nah, iMore was a good idea... But why just stick with iWatch... Wasn't that patented already

I've been against the name iWatch ever since I seen it. I can't see Apple selling it as just a watch, but then again, the iPhone is so much more than a phone.

Also, it's just an ugly looking word to say or to look at, in my opinion. Compared to something like iBand (just a made up word), which is more pleasing, just like iPad and iPhone. Im interested to see what they call it. iWatch does have a ton of equity that the media created already.

Haha happened to my regular watch the other day. Wearables better be durable cause they're going to take a beating from regular wear.

Somebody mentioned a "TimePod" rumour in another thread.

I think it is a good idea.
