That 7970 in crossfire has me drooling.. I wish I could just dump tons of money on PC's and Macs.. Just love computers in general!

I am very excited to see what Premiere has in store for us or Adobe that is. Like I said, I was using Premiere before I switched to Mac and never really like Final Cut so much. I remember when I was a freshmen in filmschool (switched majors) all the kids ridiculed me for using PP or FCP. I really didn't care, but it's interesting how the tables are turning and most of those same kids are saying they're afraid of learning a new system.

Adobe Production Premium is a pretty good package, add the overpricing of Mac computers and the dedication to gadgets instead of professional quality systems and software, and Windows will have a big comeback in the graphics/photo/video community.

I have been sitting on my iMac for quite a while and would never buy one again: mirror screen, heat, quality control issues, expandability...

The mac mini is a joke, and to pay north of $3500 for a workstation (the entry level Mac Pro has always been the most overpriced offering in the Mac line-up) is asking for too much in this economy.

Apple has already lowered the price on the MacBook Air, and I expect a better offering with the MacPro upgrade.

If Intel lets them, for sure, but I doubt the price for the Mac Pro will go down. Seems the upcoming Intel CPU get a bit pricier.

If Apple worked on that pricing a bit more (highly doubt it) for the Mac Pro, I might consider it. But right now, it's just too much for me.

I don't know. I would miss OS X, Aperture, iWorks (Keynote is essential for my job) and the whole system integration too much.... and I'm absolutely in love with FCP X.
Windows 7 seems to be much better than its predecessors, but it still feels clumsy to me. When I think how much time I save with the whole, let's say, "Mac experience" compared to work with Windows, I don't think that a Mac is more expensive than a Windows box in the long run (a computer is a cost center for me).
This is my personal experience. I just think a Mac with Apple software runs more fluid than anything I had with Windows before.... YMMV, though.

i would love to build a dual cpu pc machine .. i really do like mac pros though but they are just so expensive. At least with pc's when something new comes out you can most of the time just upgrade that component .. that is something I have missed since I switched over to all macs a few years ago.

I don't really have any reason to stay mac .. i use ms office .. game from time to time and edit but I don't like fcpx and was thinking of switching over to PP
