So I ordered my 13" 512GB the morning after the keynote. Like most if not all of you, I have not received my laptop. I spoke with Amazon for 50 minutes this morning! I went from the initial person who transferred me to the pricing department and then to a supervisor. The gist of it is they couldn't tell me anything. The initial person said December 28th would be the shipping date. The pricing department and supervisor would not give me a date. I explained to them that it is terrible business to sell more preorders then they would have available.
The other thing I tried was to price match a third party. This particular version of the laptop is available right now on Amazon from a third party for $1999. I asked that they send me that one at the price I was committed to. They said their hands were tied and could not do it.
So, I'm not sure what to expect. Very disappointing to say the least.

Probably as someone said before in this thread that Amazon is just waiting us to cancel the order before they ship...
Not sure, as I haven't seen any one receiving those price mistaken models from Amazon (15 high end silver, and 13 high end space gray), no matter what price they paid. Since I don't see a reason for Amazon to screw up those "honest" customers, I think this is a sign that Amazon will eventually honor all the orders?
It's unfortunate Amazon hasn't shipped yet. All the Apple Stores near me have the model I ordered in stock and ready for pickup. Best Buy even had some when I went in earlier today. I really do think they're just waiting for more people with the price mistake to cancel. I've almost been on the verge of cancelling, but decided to hold out for a week more in hopes they'll restock by then.
The worst part is how wishy-washy they've been. The explanation I got last time was that they sold out and were waiting for new stock to come in (which would imply that some people have already received their pre-orders and that definitely doesn't seem to be the case for the high end 13" and 15" ones).
It would help if they were upfront about shipping information and gave concrete estimated dates. Especially since Amazon is a huge company and I can't imagine them being that low on the totem pole of Apple orders.
I have no idea why anybody can really complain. You guys bought a brand new model hundreds off the retail price. You guys are lucky that amazon didn't even cancel the order ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I woulda been fine with a cancellation and $25 gc, but Amazon said they'll honor it, and now they're just sitting on it with no communication, so it's messed up.
Does anyone else's order show "Delivered" through the Amazon app? Was just checking mine and thats what it showed, but logging in through the desktop site it still shows "Not yet shipped"

No, pretty sure that was a third-party seller with 2 in stock.
Look at the bottom of my screenshot. Ships from and sold by Amazon. Also, I refreshed the page for about 10 minutes and I saw the inventory go down from In Stock--> 10 left --> 7 left -->Out of Stock
It changed back to "Delivery data pending" again in the Amazon app. What's your order status shown in the app?
Some people's credit card get charge just 20 minutes ago, and the status change to Preparing shipment.
Seems like Amazon start process the order now..

Mine's went back to "delivery date pending" as well, but I just noticed Amazon's preorder page for the 15" w/ Touch Bar high end just came back up at a lower price. It went from $2,799-->$2,749. Still doesn't show any release date, though.
Just sit tight and wait, some of us in Europe who pre-ordered from Apple aren't due our "Pre-orders" until Christmas week..... with the savings you've made patients is a virtue, cake, eat it and all that

Yup, it shows that they are in stock. Hopefully the status of the orders changes soon.
