What info do they ask you when preordering an iPhone, or any other device, on the VZW site? I just tried to log in and was able to do so, and it says I'm eligible for my upgrade. I'm paying by credit card obviously. The problem is I'm on an account with another person but we're both listed as "account managers" on the account. So I was told the other day by customer service when I called in to change my plan that I was able to make decisions on the account as well. So I've done my homework and planned ahead for a smooth transaction. Does the transaction have to be done online or can I just call VZW's customer service line and tower that way at midnight Friday?

Go online and know your passwords (especially you billing password) ahead of time. Should be smooth as long as you have all you information and you are the account owner.

This is interesting. I have the VZW app on my iPhone 5. Can I upgrade to the 6 straight from the app I wonder?

I heard the itunes store app was actually the most reliable last year.

I can't see how the VZW app would be any better than their VZW website. And it certainly has the potential to be worse/slower. I have the same app on my Galaxy S3 BTW.

I have preordered the iphone from Verizon twice at midnight on the respective preorder dates and received it on launch day. It was completely flawless.

I will be doing the same this year. It's a good experience and VERY EASY.

You just log into the site and navigate the upgrade menus.

I'm leaning towards ordering on the Verizon site but they have a history of delivering phones more slowly than Apple when it comes to pre-orders.

The question is: Can you purchase AppleCare+ if you preorder through Verizon?

I want to make sure I get the $200 credit for trading in my iPhone 4... but I'd prefer to preorder from Apple... Preordering from Apple most certainly gives the option to add AppleCare+ but I doubt it does from Verizon. But preordering from Apple-- do I know I can still be eligible for the $200 trade in deal?
