Prepared for Shipment

I find it more annoying when I come to read about people's excitement and it's littered with off-topic comments about these types of threads. Conversely there are plenty of threads to complain about the iPad and it's fans... It works both ways.

...I had a 16GB ordered on 3/12 that I switched to a 32GB a week ago and it still says "not yet shipped". I hope mine is at home when I get off work on the 3rd!
 
1 week from now I'll be lounging in bed while my wife watches TV or reads a book playing with my new ipad! :)
 
It looks like a couple folks who had ordered the 16gb Wifi version were not prepared for shipment--

I also ordered a 16gb WIFI and mine shows as now prepared for shipment-- for what it is worth.

I ordered mine within 1 hour of the store coming back online. I had a one on one with my manager that morning and couldnt really tell her NOOO I cant meet yet I need to order my iPad.
 
I ordered a 32 GB on 3/15, no change in status.

When I ordered the 3GS, I ordered the day pre-sale started and didn't get Prepared for Shipment until the morning before release day. So please don't worry too much if yours doesn't change until the middle of the week. lol :)
 
I ordered my 16GB Wifi 2 hours in and it's prepared for shipment. They held my funds as soon as I ordered and dropped them 3 days later... nothing since.

You are on a website, if not THE website completely catered to Apple and everything that revolves around Apple. Thus, this place is full of people that eat, breathe and live Apple. And in this website, you are in an iPad sub forum, full of what is probably the largest single concentration of Apple loving people who have ordered iPads and will think nothing for the next week but the iPad. The people here are giddy, excited and anxiously awaiting the iPad akin to Pre-Teens finding out that Hannah Montana is coming to town. And not a single person here that fits into that category will hide or deny that.

If this bothers you, you can feel free to go to the other 99.99999999...% of the internet that is not the previously mentioned Subforum.
 
It could have to do with where it is being shipped to. If it is coming from China it is going to take longer to get to New York then it is California.
 
Judicious use of the Ignore list in your user CP helps a lot (for both sides).
 
Just tried loading store.apple.com to check my status and got an update notice. Wish it were for new MacPros but I know that's not the case. (sigh) Would be funny for Apple to update its lineup at midnight though.

Why is it taking for ever to load Apple.com? I never had that issue a month ago. Every time i visit the homepage it takes for ever to load, but if i go straight into store.apple.com i have no problems.
 
I thought it was just me with Apple.com taking forever to load. Looks like the store is down at the moment.
