Ahh me too. I just burned all my applications a important documents onto a DVD. Thank god for dual layer DVD's, I'd have to burn several DVDs if I didn't have dual layer

Here is what mine says, and like a fool I paid for expedited :(

Mines is also prepared for shipment, overnight. Where could find the form to let fed ex to leave it at my door when I'm not home?

From the Apple store

Option 1: Pre-sign with Apple

Once you receive the Ship Notification email from Apple, visit online Order Status and click the “Pre-sign for this shipment” link. Follow the instructions to print and complete the “Shipment Release Authorization” form and leave it on your door for the carrier prior to 8 a.m. the day of expected delivery.

You can designate a preferred delivery location — front door, back door, immediate neighbor or building manager. If you designate an address other than the one specified on the package (for example, a neighbor), someone must be present to sign for the package. If you want to pre-sign for more than one shipment, you need to complete a “Shipment Release Authorization” form for each one.

Mine is overnight-standard parcel via TNT Express.

Though Apple hasn't processed my order yet-it still says:
Not yet shipped
Product Qty.
MAC OS X 10.5 RETAIL-INT
Ships by: DELIVERS ON OCTOBER 26TH

Will we still get a regular Ship Notification? If so, when will this supposedly be? I guess thursday since it is overnight...

The Australia or other stores don't seem to offer this option.

If you don't think you will be home to recieve your shipment print out the form from Apple so fedex will leave the package. Apple requires fedex to have someone sign for it or a signed door tag or the form from the website. Just think how you would feel if you missed the driver a could not get it on Friday.

Pretty sure you can't do this in Canada. Anyway though, Apple seems let Fedex leave things like software, iPods, etc for me. Only my laptops needed ME to sign. Our landlord has signed for everything else at the apartment building office.

What a hoot....

FedEx made me sign for the .Mac package that came first, actually did not deliver on the first attempt because no one was at home. A few days later when my 2.8Ghz iMac was delivered he left it at the front door! How does that make sense???

I JUST pre-ordered my copy of Leopard from apple.com, and I wasn't given choices of how I wanted it shipped. It just had the standard shipping option as the only one and it was already selected. I'm hoping I won't receive it later than Friday because of this. I wonder why it was like that?

If you're in Canada and you don't think you'll be home when its delivered, just write a note telling Purolater (thats who delivers for me) to leave it in the mailbox or on the step and then sign it. That's what I do, although I'm usually conveniently not feeling well enough to go to school that day:cool:

Mine is Prepared to ship as well. That usually means in the past that it will ship the next day and mine also says Priority Overnite so if they ship it on Wednesday, then I will get it on Thursday which is one day earlier than the stores will release their copies. And by the way,

I got free shipping Priority Overnite so if any of you paid for extra shipping I would ask for a refund for the extra shipping. Then again, Apple may just not charge you shipping when they charge your credit card.

The time is near folks.. I am very excited. I already hooked up a external drive 400GB to use with Time Machine.
