Preparing for shipment thread

If you're still on the preparing for shipment thread in most cases you can just go onto UPS.com and go to track by reference. Once you're there you can put your phone number and the country of destination and in most cases your tracking number will show where it is as most tracking numbers have already been generated.

I tried entering my phone number where it prompts for a tracking number. Nothing happens. In the Apple Store it shows preparing for shipment. Also tried on the ups website in track by reference number. No result there either. I guess that trick only works for some.

Lucky I'm still waiting for my status to change

I guess I could have whined like the obnoxious kid, but I suffered in silence as I watched everyone post success in finding out where their phones are and where they were made.
But now I'm dancing a jig because my order finally turned to "Preparing for shipment"

Go to UPS.com and if you're on mobile you have to change it to view full site to get the option to track by reference. Go to tracking on the top menu bar after you have switched to the desktop site, and on the left it will say track by reference.

Well idk I'm sorry for those it did not work for, I solely posted to help out because I know it's nice to be conscious of where it is. Obviously there's some care for it, this is quite a popular thread.

It does work hopefully for those it did work for you can back me up as of now most are still overseas as it will state if you can find your tracking.

I had my status change from processing to preparing for shipping back to processing. I have already had my cc charged as well. I chated with Apple, and they said everything looked good. I sure hope so :s

If my phone doesn't ship out by tomorrow then I know it's in the states I like tracking from China find it fun and more like an apple launch the deliveries that come state side aren't has exciting IMO

My Apple Watch went from Processing >> Preparing for Shipment >> Processing >> Preparing for Shipment. I still received it on Launch Day. I know you wanna see forward progress, we all do. But I think all of us with 9/25 dates will get them on that day Just seems so far away!

Honestly guys, don't get too worked up if you have an iPhone 6S. It looks like most of the movement is on the Plus models and those are also showing much later manufacturing dates. It's very possible that the iPhone 6S's are already stateside and won't ship yet and the Plus models are hot off the presses and have to ship from China.
