I have seen a few people trickle in this morning and say their status has changed to prepare for shipment. I figured why not have a thread so we can see who ordered what and when. And they can report throughout the day if their status changes.

Find it very odd, all my 3 orders placed on the 25th @3:40am est say "processing". Screen shot of those that have preparing would be nice to see.
My iPhone 6s plus. Says processing on att but under days preparing to ship. Probably different but still

I ordered the Space Gray 6s Sprint model – probably one of the least popular – with a confirmation email at 12:05 PDT, and it is still in the processing stage.
Just saw a blurb on the home page for Mac Rumors saying that some are changing to preparing for shipment but in foreign countries such as the UK, etc. I also "spoke" to someone directly from Apple through their chat system. Very nice person! She said that it is still set for delivery on September 25 (Rose Gold 128 GB). She also told me about the new Iwatch in Rose Gold! Its the sports edition so its way less than the $17,000 one!
In the US, I would be shocked if they show anything before Wednesday/Thursday next week. They are probably making their way overseas. The preparing to ship/ship notifications do not go out until they leave UPS, which is a next day Air service.
Usually if you have UPS my choice, you can find your package days before apple sends you the official tracking. It gets to the UPS hubs and sits there for another 3-4 days. In the past when they did 1 week turnovers, the phones were already in the US.

My T-Mobile pre-order still says "Your order is confirmed. We will send a shipping estimate soon."
That's different from how it went when I got my 5s. Of course that could be because there was no preordering for the 5s. I definitely remember the tracking starting when it was in China.
That is why, there was no preorder. IIRC, the tracking will show china, you just will not get it until late Wednesday or early Thursday.
The last time I ordered from Apple during early preorder time it was shipped via Fed-ex direct from China and had essentially no tracking progress between the first notification and delivery day.
BTW - Mine says "processing items" Order confirmation email was 21 minutes past the hour when preorder started.
I think they use UPS now. At least both the iPhone 6 and the apple watch were UPS.
I ordered literally the second the app went live and checked out successfully via Apple Pay within a few seconds. I'm still processing.
Mine still says processing but my credit card has been charged. I ordered two 64GB 6s+ from Apple and am still showing 9/25 delivery for both.
