My 15” MBP with 32GB and 1TB just updated this morning to Preparing for Shipping and the delivery estimate is July 27-31. Is there a chance it will actually be delivered sooner?

Usually Apple over estimates their delivery date. So you should receive it within this week. I'm 95% sure about this.
Thanks so much for the reply! Crossing my fingers you’re right. Hoping to take on vacation with me if it arrives in time.

Just checked, mine is scheduled for delivery during 26th - 30th July but it also now shows "preparing for shipping". So are you guys saying it might arrive this week already if I'm lucky? :)

I placed my order on 12th night.(i9 processor, 32GB ram, 2TB) Now I see the status changed from processing to preparing for shipment, but no arrive date show up yet... The original estimate picks up time is July 26 though.

You will get your Arrival Date when it transitions to "Shipped". It is likely that you will get it within the week, particularly if you paid the $9 for Expedited Shipping (at least that's what it was to Dallas, TX).

Thank you! But I choose to pick it up in Apple store instead. So there is no faster option for me to choose from. : (

Ahh. I looked at the projected arrival dates when I put my order and it was faster to come to my door (which I thought was odd) so that's what I chose. Good news might be that your Apple Store may get it in pretty quick! I have always heard Apple is very conservative with their estimates. But I haven't ordered anything direct from them in a LONG time. Last time was my Retina MBP from 2013!

You are right! I just checked my order status and now it shows that it's Shipping to Store and will be available for me to pick up on July 20 which is 6 days ahead of the original promised date. I am very happy now.

That's awesome. Makes me hopeful that mine arrives a few days earlier than originally shown aswell (though no change for me yet on the order page).

The order status of mine has been changed twice within the past few hours. So it seems that Apple is working hard on the shipment right now. Wish you also could get your Mac soon.

Yeah in my experience they usually ship faster than it says they will. They just give you a longer date as a security net in case there is a hiccup in the process.

And congrats on your new MBP!

I ordered a CTO last Thursday evening. It's on a UPS plane right now heading for Anchorage, AK from China. Should have it in NC Weds (7/18). It was originally estimated Jul 19-23.

Unfortunately mine has been stuck on Preparing to Ship since very early this morning. Not sure it will change soon.

I ordered (13", 2.7Ghz, 16GB, 1TB) pretty soon (under an hour?) after they were released, and DPD (UK) have just confirmed a delivery slot tomorrow!

Original ETA from Apple was 18-20th July.

My CTO I ordered Thu about 3:30 pm PDT is still “Processing” and “will take longer to ship than usual to ship”. Still showing July 20-27 arrival estimate.

Very cool. I put my old machine on eBay when I pulled the trigger on the new 2018. Was surprised it sold so fast (deal was in my favor) and now I’m sans-computer until Apple ships my order. Fingers crossed it gets here sooner like yours.

Mine has been stuck on "preparing to ship" since around 5am this morning (12 hours ago). No big deal, just another point of reference.

Do you mind me asking what you sold?
